Great job. So what was the cost of consumables in that K motor?

I own the hardware and the cost for consumables was $40.

With conditions that cold did you have to heat the motors right up until putting them on the vehicle on the pad? If not, sugar grains hold a fair amount of water, is there a danger of them cracking as ice forms in the grains at such low temps?

I used two hand-dipped igniters staged one above the other that could light a cold brick on fire. I store my fuel in a desiccant chamber to keep moisture out and then seal them in a heavy vacuum bag. I have found moisture will penetrate a Ziplock bag over time. I was concerned about grain cracking due to the extreme cold but there was no evidence of a problem. I glued the last three grains into the liner. Some people who live in hot desert areas keep their grains on ice. Good question!

@@TheRocketeer Fascinating! WOW. SO you fired them cold. Do you think there's a large drop is Isp from having to warm the solid through the cold temp to hot to get it to ignite? If you watch the Chinese news coverage of the launch from a boat of a large solid LV you'll see they kept it in a tent and pumped in hot air.
