First part of an excellent interview with a young k.d , who's full of fun and very enthusiastic. The interviewer is clearly charmed by her, it starts off in her childhood home of Consort,Alberta. parts 2 &3 will be uploaded soon.
She is utterly adorable in this interview. I'm a psychology student and I was really interested to hear k.d. talking about seeing colours and waves in relation to her music. She only mentioned it briefly but what she is describing sounds like a neurological condition called synesthesia. Many extremely gifted and creative people, including several musicians, have this condition. Either way, this woman is endlessly fascinating.
100% possible originally these people came from Egypt trans generational genocide motivate them to France - Europe Great Britain - Scotland Rossalyn Castle - Perfection - analysis the end result is seen in all forms - the process to get to C from A.
I saw the Tomorrow show when Tom Snyder interviewed the young Patti Smith. She was adorable, so real and so lovable. Seeing this with KD Lang reminds me of that program. She is absolutely so real, so intelligent, so unafraid to be herself. And she has a terrific voice. K D Lang is the kind of human being that everyone ought to be.
I definitely just wrote the lyrics "I pinned myself against the wall, stationed like a horse in stall, just wishin they might call me art." on my bedroom door, over the picture I put up of her. I feel like I'm the only teenage k.d. lang fan...but I'm sure there's more out there. These videos are the best.
I have to say, KD has always been a heroine to me. She first came to me as a young lady wo dressed in a wedding dress and sang a "dam ol country song" in a way that you could only love her if you had a free mind. i love'd her and continue to this day. i am a grammy and still can't wait to hear her next song. KD YOU ROCK. i'd love to meet u someday. GAWD LOVE YA
Keep listening to what you love - you cannot go wrong with k d. Any style of music she does, she pours herself into it wholeheartedly, and that voice!! She is still my favourite singer of all time.
So we're the same age and listening to her here I compare myself to her back at this time. She's all intelligent and deep and creative meanwhile me back then, I was saying things like "I'm bored, what can I do?" And, "Hold my beer I gotta go pee."
Waves & Colors, story of my Life but i have multiple forms of Synesthesia, i wonder if KD does too, her voice gives me colors & patterns & tastes. This is why i enjoy KD so much... on my Birthday "Constant Craving" went to number one, KD is like a voice in The Great Beyond, i just have to stop & listen. (✿◠‿◠)
KD's the BEST!!! We, as Canadians, should be damned proud of our girl! Our small population doesn't give us a huge star base, but we do have SOOOO many talented Canadians that are known world-wide!!!! I don't have enough characters left in this message to list all the ones I can think of right now! Help me out to continue the list...Jim Carrey, Gordon Lightfoot, Donald Sutherland, Gordon Pinsent, Ann Murray, Leonard Cohen. Come on!!! Add to this list..Murray McLaughlin...Kids in the Hall.....
yes, I am a fan also. Your comment about kd in a skirt when I thought about it then saw it again, reminded me of a Scot dude in a kilt. God bless her, she is a one of a kind, and oh, what a voice.
I found her insight into the creative process most interesting. I'm late to the party, but his +Indica 777 person really has an axe to grind. "Me thinks the lady doth protest too loudly."
Liza Jane There's nothing natural about your reaction - I feel sorry that you feel disgust when you should in fact show compassion . AIDS isnt just a so called "gay disease " it has affected people of every sexuality..
+indica 777 Welllll aint that something. Literally millions if not billions of people around the world don't know where the hell they are just because they are Buddists? You do realize that many Judeo-Christian theologans have postulated that Jesus and the missing years coincide with many of the stories of the Buddha and that they may have been the same physical manifestation of the enlightened one.
