Directly responds to the majority of what Drake said about him, throws in a few tidbits of previously unknown information (the Like That C&D) but makes it very clear to Drake that he should respond at his own peril. The title, and the line about sparing him after the “pacify” bar, very strongly imply Kendrick knows something of substance about Drake’s penchant for young girls. The “Back To Back” bar seems really calculated and ominous. The Gunna line implies something that Drake really won’t want to come out (snitching allegations??). Drake tried to use the AI Tupac as a means to get out in front of what he expected Kendrick to say - but KDot comes back and says “this is just some of the shit I know about - but I don’t need to share it with the world unless you push me”. He lets his flow and lyrical ability do most of the heavy lifting, but makes it very clear that he can get nasty if he needs to.

well, i’m more of a pop girl, but I heard about Kendrick’s track within a couple hours of its release and then immediately hit RU-vid to watch reactions. i vaguely remember seeing shit online when j cole apologized for *his* diss but other than that I genuinely didn’t realize drake was involved. idk i think kendrick has the edge artistically and just in the amount of things he has to say about aubrey as a person. like, to me, this song said ‘is your soul right?’ which is a fair question given some of drake’s behavior. i also think it’s fair to tell a former child star that he should maybe learn how to get a life outside of fame. idk what drake has to hit back with that’s on that same level
