@ThePaynefulFamily Follow along as we hit our first spot along the way, exploring K'gari (Fraser Island). We take our 25ft Lotus Caravan and Isuzu NPS truck to test everything out and see how we go.
K’gari is awesome but can you please not drive on the dunes. There is a lot of people trying to ban us from driving on beaches and driving on the dunes adds fuel to the fire. Otherwise good episode.
Your approach to camp should of been a straight line hubs locked 4 wd low. Low tyre pressure. 20 psi ish You caused the bog yourself. Remember you are HEAVY. momentum is your friend. Relying on the clutch or high REVS IS DAMAGE IN THE MAKING. EXPERIENCE MAKES GOOD RESULTS.
friend has same vehicle ,he picked it up from dealer FINALLY,we drove out no issues but hit 70/75 and the tyre vibration is near to the point off undriveable ,i took a quick look and all beads seated correct wheel nuts, all tight ,tyre mud size 305/70x19.5 ,is this your size too ? dealer said thats how mud tyres are ,just drive till it runs the tyre round, pretty sure they arent factory singles all round ,tyre i didnt recognize ,its made in Thailand with a 140 load rated
Hey we have FOUNDERS 305/7019.5 MT RADIAL TYRE. Definitely doesn’t drive like a sedan. Is a very rough and ready drive. When we picked up from dealer we struggled to hit over 80. Now we can sit comfortably at 100. So possible we have worn them in. But would definitely get a 2nd opinion.
