K'gari - TRACK II - Tidal crossing gone WRONG! 

Only covered if they have the right insurance & most people aren't covered for tidal crossings

So many people forget this. Sometimes it’s more then just wear and tear - it’s risking your own fourby and yourself and passengers.

She's been good, had one on the Jeep for years too. Smittybilt.

All the gear, but no idea! 🙈

After this night we weren't sure if it was a common occurrence.

Spot on. Very few companies offer coverage for river crossings, let alone tidal ones you don't need to do. I'm sure there's got to be more but Club 4x4 are about the only ones I know of. If in doubt, give your insurance a call & find out exactly what you are covered for rhen get it in writing.

Pretty sure the term is factory wading depth, any deeper and your probably not covered by insurance.

I think it's worth the money, relatively cheap insurance.

@@robertwilson1827 I didn't have a problem at all. I had my car parked up at the campsite and theu came in on the next Ferry. They were really great to deal with TBH

It was the track to Moon Point in May just after the Fraser Island clean up

Both about 50 meters apart at Awinya.

The best combo would be to have the awning & tent on a trailer to allow driving off.

Stunning spot. Didn't have it too bad with flies, only the odd one here and there.
