Music has no specific language. Saint Thyagaraja swamy was born in AP and has written hundreds of songs in Telugu, it doesn't mean Swamy was only belong to telugu community. Most of his songs are about Ayodhya born Bhagvan Sri Ram.The dedication to Carnatic classical music by SRI.K.J.YESHU DAS should not be ignored.

Still I am unable to understand how can a playback singer sing classical music as Yeshudas sings.Only yeshudas can sing in this fashion as he is a well trained classical musician and is blessed with his Guru Chembai too.He is the only person who made the Karnatic music popular among ordinary folks like me/us.

He may not satisfy musical critics . But he is the only one reason I started listening to Carnatic songs . He has equal credits in popularizing Carnatic music as MS. Like me many started listening to Carnatic music Bcz he gave it in a easier format where a non cm student can also sing a cm keerthana. He is great no doubt . I’m having little knowledge on cm and songs it’s Bcz Of the spark he has given .
He's one of the very few singers who actually pronounced koluvu properly ij bantureeti. Even many telugu singers seperate kolu and vu and sing it as kolu veeyavayya. To hear the word totally makes the song even more beautiful and Yesudas sir has done complete justice to thyagaraja swamy's compositions.
