Yesudas has golden voice and his performance is outstanding. It will not matter if some academy accepts him or not. Music lovers across the globe have accepted him.

Jealousy has no cure ! Anybody accepts him or not, for those who love music, he is genius ! That is why he is called Gana Gandharvan ! God bless him !

His voice is one of God's favorites. Hence Harivarasanam at Sabarimala through his voice. Beyond human to be recognised by divinity itself.

Very correct. 🙏 He is like the Sun. Most Iyers and Ayyangars of Madras Music Academy are frogs. MS Subbalaksmi, Pattammal, MLV and GNB apart. Yesudas is on par with them. Academy is jealous of him. And will not accept him. 😃

@@rajeevakshannp1487 a lot of other artists would come in that exceptional category. Semmangudi, KVN, MDR, DKJ, MMI, musiri subramania Iyer, ramnad Krishnan, vedavalli, Vijay Siva to name just a few. Tm Krishna, Sanjay subramanyam, Bombay jayshree, sudha raghunathan would come under the "frog" category

Such negativity and jealousy! There're millions of people whose days are incomplete without Dasettan's voice.

Whatever anyone may say, Dass ettan is incomparable. Please don't compare him with anyone. He is Gaanagandharvan to all of us and a prodigy in his own right. All the best for this great doyen of Carnatic music.

I don’t believe they were compared as equals. The earlier comment was that Yesudas has some good characteristics of BMK and Chembai, both of whom he admires. It is an issue with us Indians that we always have to create a hierarchy. While BMK was a genius and is incomparable, it is true that Yesudas did not get the recognition in the Carnatic music arena due to various reasons. Both are great artists in their own right and we are lucky to enjoy both their talents in their respective areas of expertise and strengths. Let’s avoid creating a hierarchy 👍
