Remember when he used to go to my Aunt and Uncle's house my friends sometimes just to see them, all the guitars there up West Brom. This guy was the only one fancied as a teenager, long time before they became famous. He wouldn't remember me as I was teenager at the time. I'm Allan Atkins cousin who was original singer in Judas Priest back in late 60's. Glad to seee you have kept your roots in area old friend. Good Luck!
My first gig at 14 yrs old was Judas Priest at Leeds University refectory, I'm 55 now, still listening to Priest, its not the same without you, thanks for everything
The way that kk and glen bounced off each other during a solo you would swear it was the one guitarist those guys really gelled and we're seamless and both composed some of the coolest riffs ever heard from a guitar, not taking anything away from Richie Faulkner he's a great guitarist but kk and tipton created history together and what a dynamic team they were!!
Thanks for posting this just pure clean honest music from a founding father of metal .I lucked out and got a card in a stagehand local in oc. Ca.all thru the late70'e, till my d 2000's I literally grew up working metal bands I used to work at the Starwood music club in hollywood.when JP.and Rory Gallagher would tear up the place sonically.awsome band JP I wish you could come back to play all those wonderful songs .ohhh, enjoy your retirement peace and good luck .Brian Le masters504,iatse,Irvine meadows, pacific ampletheares.
He seems like he's enjoying retirement, like he's just enjoying the fruits of his labor. 40-some odd years of being at the top, an innovator in heavy metal history, he's maintained a sense of dignity not often seen in retired musicians. It's nice to see him relax a bit, as much as we all miss him. He's earned this right - just make the odd appearance here or there K.K.! We love you.
K.K. - Thanks so much for taking the time to share your gear, history, and expertise with your fans! It was a joy to watch and watch you relive some of the moments from your career. Love it!
i miss you kk,you are a legend and a hero to so many of us.ive seen you live dozens of times, you are my personal guitar hero(love glen too of course) i started listening to priest in early 1980's but the first time i saw you was the "defenders of the faith tour",in Canada in the nose bleed section and bought tickets from a scalper for $15 .it was the most amazing thing in my life 17 yrs old.
Can't believe I haven't seen this yet . K.K and Glen are two of my biggest influences. Love Judas Priest ! I saw the British Steel and Screaming for Vengeance tours at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield Illinois. Also saw the Painkiller tour in Lakeland Florida. Another great show was Rob Halford's Fight opening for Metallica in St. Petersburg Florida. Suicidal Tendencies was also on the bill. Robert Trujillo's future in front of my eyes . My blood is Metal.
Much appreciated glimpse into the vintage JP rig! Throw some more vids up brother....we fans eat it up! Any info is tantalizing candy for our rock n roll brains.....even if it means we are to be reminded that the tone is mostly in our hands and find out the gear was readily available, normal gear, available to anyone. Funny how people sound the same no matter what rig they plugged into! Thanks for all the riffage over the years! Now go enjoy some retirement! THX!!
Judas priest is my influence in metal, learned to play Diamonds and rust because of this band, and learn it to some others still playing ( over the world) pretty proud of it
I've wanted to do something similar with my wah pedal (add an LED light) to know if it's on without a doubt. Never understood why pedal makers never outfitted wah pedals with LED lights but do on everything else. One of life's mysteries.
He has it backwards, it was originally sparkling burgandy, and refinished it candy apple red. I have #17 of the 30 remakes. There was only 350 71 Medallions made.
regalame una guitarra. yo no alcanzo a tener una guitarra de esa calidad. Toco en una Iglesia. muchas gracias. Que el Señor te bendiga y te harta vida y salud y felicidad.
close enough for me..Halfords voice was insein then.. saw them for the first time iron maiden opened up for them then def leppard on another..the good old days. it was in a college auditorium in towson md

Message for the camera man: Next time you conduct an interview on video, please, for the love of God, put the camera on a tripod. It's a damn good interview, otherwise. Was the (formerly) Candy Apple red V the one Michael Schenker coveted?
+MrMoloch001 And use an external microphone. Keep hearing the camera housing squeaking as the "camera operator" makes adjustments. But yes, what a greatly informative video. Loved it.
MrMoloch001 Totally agree! Great interview, but the "squeaking" and "rubbing" of the camera and the "movement" was so irritating and distracting, I nearly quit watching several times. #newpetpeeve
Has to be the same V. I thought he would mention him (M.S.), but maybe that bit of info wasn't that too important to him. His show. His rules. Haha. \m/ K.K. RULES \m/ One half of my Twin Metal Guitar Gods!
@@dianaivey5649 they came into the scene around the same time, so it’s not like either of them have any more influence than the other, i mean dave mustaine played a v cuz of kk, and kirk hammett played one cuz of schenker. it all just boiled down to a few people thinking it was a badass shape :)
@@dianaivey5649 I always thought it was Rudolph Schenker who played the V for the Scorps. I was a huge KK Lover back from mid 80's like.most of us young blonde women were.😁 At 18 back in 86' my best friend & me wanted to be private groupies for KK.😏...it never happened...aww shit! I thought. See the movie " Heavy Metal Parking Lot" I was there & it was my friend Tim that got killed & I was one of the 75 fans that got free tickets & passes, but all under 21 didn't meet anyone but Rob that night. Rest of band was at nightclub ," "Hammerjacks" in Baltimore..God I was so pissed over no KK🤬😡BUT.. I liked seeing Rob, he signed my arm😊(no paper )
Hi KK, big fan here, and I love JP and I love you. It is so good to see you relaxing, showing and explaining some of your gears and history. This is marvelous. Thanks again!
"If he knew then he wouldn't have changed the machine heads" Are you kidding me KK, that guitar is probably worth 10 times more now 'cos you own it. The machine heads are irrelevant.
Any time you feel like putting out a solo album, I'm sure there is an audience out there for it. Judas Priest has been my favorite band for over 35 years and have seen you guys several times. Best wishes to you.
Such a shame he decided to auction all this gear off in dec 2018, tho he got good money for the stuff. Still I wish he kept it all...or that I could have bought them
as a american metal head please come back 2 priest.if not 4 the band 4 your people who love you and priest.glenn raymond tipton would be proud (and is honored) if you would come back 2 judas priest and keep the legacy for glenn and your priest family.whatever happened between the ban CAN BE FIXED.PRIEST FOREVER👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
