Absolutely excellent video. The part with the attendees interviews is really well made and interesting. I would definitely be interested in watching more of those mini-documentary style interview on people you meet Ivan. Keep it up!
Thanks buddy! I thought it would be cool to get some other peoples perspective on it. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I'll work on including bits like that in the future. :)
Very cool course it seems. I like the way the course continues when it gets a little wet in the air...the way the water beads off the rifles. Your production is always top notch, Ivan. Looking forward to a video of your rifle/optic set up if you choose to make one.
Would you happen to remember any deets on the gas gun that was having inconsistency issues? Hoping to take the class this year if I can, but the only rifle I have capable of long range is a gas gun. I get .5-.75 moa all day long but haven’t really punched out past 200y. It’s a dd5 v3.
I haven't gotten mine yet. Hopefully I'll head back and build one soon. I was running that course, in part, as a test bed for that Savage / Bushnell set up.
I might be way off in saying this but im guessing the vast majority of your subs cannot afford a $1300 class let alone several hundred rounds of precision rifle ammo. I love this channel but iv noticed its been steadly getting further and further away from what it started as. I miss the days of trouble shooting a pimped out (super cool btw) CZ 7.62 rifle. Dont think a ton of subscribers can relate too Q honeybadgers, Q fix or any number of other super highend stuff you have been covering lately, at times it feels like im watching a tactical infomercial. Still enjoyable to watch but i would say it does not stick with your self described core objective to "create high quality video reveiws of outdoor and tactical gear" ...... please take it as constructive critisism not just bashing the content. This is in my top 3 favorite youtube channels. Also was wondering if your $200 per month gearlocker goal where we get to vote on what you reveiw next is still going to be a thing?
I don't know what to tell you man. Personally I'm grateful for the opportunity to take this course and run the different weapon systems I have. My relationship with the guys at Q is awesome and I'm grateful for that as well. I don't see how I've strayed form my objective to "Create high quality video reviews of outdoor and tactical gear." If anything I've continued to increase the production value and do a better and better job with my content. I'm open to suggestions. (The CZ is coming back, waiting on paperwork) As to the Gear Locker, yes, I'm just trying to catch up. I'll try and get a poll posted up in the next week. I've just been getting crushed with a backlog of stuff.
@@KitBadger Please dont misunderstand the production quality was already above average and has gone wayyyyy up since the channels inception, I applaud you on that 110%, I was more refering to the type of content. I don't really know how to verbalize what I'm trying to say so I guess the best way to put it is to suggest you compare your first 20 videos with your most recent 20 videos and ask yourself which contains more valuable product reveiws for prospective buyers and which is more of a infomercial for products or services 95% of subs cant practically afford to buy or use. I probably watch about 80-90% of the stuff you post , all fantastic quality videos and even the ones i refered to as tactical infomercials are very well produced. They just dont really fall under outdoor and tactical gear reveiws. Not trying to bash on you, the channel or relationships you have made with big names in the gun world. Just expressing observations iv made about the direction the content has taken.
PracticalTacticalSheepdog why do you think any channel needs to conform to what you want? RU-vid is not for the viewer, it is for the creator to post what he wants. Watch it or not. I understand having a fan base. And $1300 is absolutely affordable to most people. Just budget wisely. I’m against classes personally. I’ll likely never pay for one. But I enjoy watching videos of them. Especially when the creator has a talent for production. I’m not gonna complain about someone enjoying something that I don’t or that I think is expensive. That’s child shit man.
@@trijigon your out of your mind if you think a $1200 class is affordable to your average joe, especially so if you include a few hundred rounds of Precision Ammo.... Generally when someone has a following on patreon it pays (litterally) to listen to what your veiwers have to say. Doesnt mean the creator has too listen or will. Ivan is a cool dude, I think he is more than capable and willing to hear a patreon supporter's opinion without getting offended if it differs from his own. Opinions are like A$$H0LE's everyones got one.
@@PracticalTacticalSheepDog what do you mean by "Tactical Infomercials"? Are you saying I'm a shill or not actually reviewing things? I'm trying to understand. To the end of "expensive" things, most of them I have on loan to review. And there is arguably more value for people in a honest review of an expensive optic versus a $35 pocket knife. Feel free to email or message me. I don't feel like I totally get where you're coming from, but I want to understand.
