Melo jealousy. Lin was literally on his way out the league before D’antoni gave him a shot. When you are one of the best at what you do and some person comes along that’s not touted as high as you gets the same shine/ more shine than you, it does make you feel a way. Carmelo probably called Bron and told him to shut Lin down.

D'Antoni spearheaded Linsanity. The fast paced playstyle of Lin with pick and rolls with Tyson Chandler elevated that. He was unlucky to have played with 2 ballhogs in Anthony and Harden plus with injuries, it was game over.

Hard not to think so…I’d love to hear what was going on behind the scenes from Melo’s perspective, as well as the rest of the Knicks. Until then, all we have to go off of is the accounts of the people who have spoken up, and most of them point to Carmelo feeling some type of way about the situation!

It's pretty obvious what they did behind the scene. Carmelo's agent was Mike Woodson's agent. And Carmelo was close with the Dolan. Carmelo taking veiled slights on Lin along with JR Smith's comments. Those guys are just selfish dudes. Not a shocker. Then you have Carmelo's spin doctors in Stephen A Smith stirring the pot.

His stint with the Hornets was the best version of him. K.walker and J Lin back court duo was exciting to watch. Too bad they lost to D Wade and the Heats. Pressure and performance in Toronto ended his career for sure, even though he won a ring but he was a bench warmer...

He got exposed for not being able to go left. He was overrated because nobody ever saw an Asian guy as a guard play good in the league period. He was a first and a last. Lin’s downfall had nothing to do with racism. This is poor excuse to try to blame others for his game falling off when in fact it was the injury he picked up that ended his run. He’s not the first player this has happened to and it won’t be the last. We saw the same thing happened to Brandon Roy at the height of his career and Brandon Joy had better numbers then Lin. Ray was approaching superstar status when Injuries ended his career. At least Lin got other chances and won a championship.
