KARD is most popular in South America and Latin countries , their audience is huge! A lot of their music contains Spanish elementals. They have a lot Spanish covers, and even have Spanish in their own songs. All the members are Korean, but BM was born and grew up in LA. He is fluent in English, and is quite good at Spanish. Ring The Alarm is very KARD sound, their earlier songs have these vibes. I would recommend hola hola and oh na ha (which are their early songs) Red Moon is very good too! Because Kard is a mixed group and because of their sound they are not known in Korea, but they are VERY popular internationally, especially in Latin American countries (I confirm this because I am from there). KARD know perfectly well that most of their fandom is from around here and that's why they give us a lot of attention and always put words, phrases and even songs in Spanish. BM (the guy with the crop top) did the song, he always does the title tracks with the help of Jseph (the other guy with the short hair) so they always make sure they include those Latin elements. KARD's popularity in these countries is so huge that as soon as Jseph got out of his military service a few months ago, the first thing they announced together with the group's cb was a tour in Latin America. You should hear more from them, they have this characteristic latin style and sound since their debut.

The LOONA member you pointed out is Haseul, one of the leaders!! She is classically trained - the daughter of two opera singers - and is very very VERY beloved. She is Korean!
@@thehannahroboto haseul is the leader of the whole group! However, there are three subunits, and each has its own leader. Haseul, Kim Lip, and Yves. In practice it seems that yves and Kim lip share some responsibilities of managing the whole team - ex: yves was the one who appeared on queendom’s intro bit with the leaders of the other groups, not haseul.
Hope you react to more LOONA, especially their solos which are before they formed the group, you don't really have to follow the lore because their music are bops anyways, I think you would really enjoy some of their songs :)

Loona is one of those groups when u get into thrm you wished you would have stan them from the very beginning. one of those groups that u find later and kick yourself for missing out on them for so long. one the most beloved and inspired group. they’re a real group. people call them the group with no visual holes for a reason. vocal flavors like ice cream - pick your favorite and it’ll continue to change. its the group thats so hard to keep a single bias and be faithful lol. Lore is just another layer to an already beautiful masterpiece. they are truly loved by people all over for a reason on and off screen. Loona and Orbits go hand in hand ❤️

This was such a fun video! I love to watch kpop catch-ups! If you do decide to explore 4th gen further, the group that bahiyyih's brother is in, TXT, is super fun and my personal favorite 4th gen group. They have a lot of bside music videos but I would recommend starting with their title tracks in release order so you can see how they've grown as a group. (the order is crown, runaway, cant you see me, blue hour, 0x1 lovesong, loser=lover, and good boy gone bad) They are generally considered to be one of the leading groups of 4th gen so it could be cool to see how their style has changed. Also there is only five of them so it wouldn't be too overwhelming.
Fun fact: BM (the guy in the crop top) is a fan and at the same time a friend of Monsta x, he even has a joke with Wonho and Shownu where the three of them are part of the Big Tiddie Gang (You can imagine why 🤣)
i love this format !!! especially with what you said at the end, most of the artists you said you probably wouldn't have reacted to were the ones I came for! happy to tune in to these (as well as, of course, your other vids for groups i love) when you drop them! also, about loona, its so worthwhile to love and try to follow the lore, but as someone who has many ults and other artists at the forefront, its understandable to be a bit hesitant with that stuff when you just wanna listen to their music. so, if you do continue to check them out, i think we'd all be fine with you talking about the songs and the girls, and ignoring any lore-related hints in their videos if you don't know what's happening 😅 that stuff tends to be mostly look-and-you-see-it, not really a distraction anyway :)

Kep1er's new album is really good. You should especially check out Le Voya9e. It's another "MVSK" situation, where many people like it more than the title track. It has a live stage as well as Up! Oh, and if you check out a live stage of Up!, I'd recommend MCOUNTDOWN 30th of June, it's the only one with real live vocals so far!

This is a song similar to how they started, more tropical and to dance, which made them huge here in South America. I'm so happy to see them together again, J Seph just ended his military service. I missed them so much. Austin, they have some darker songs in the latest years too. I'm happy to listen this latin vibe gain; but everything is good. You should try the other songs more darker.

BM from KARD grew up in the US and took Spanish throughout high school. So early on he was incorporating Latin elements and Spanish into their music. And because of that they gained a huge audience and fan base in Latin America. They’ve always been more popular internationally than they are in Korea. It’s still disheartening to see that KARD still doesn’t get that recognition they deserve.

This is a good, enjoyable format. Nayeon surprised me a little. I know she is a good performer, but not only she, but the whole video was so creative. Even as a non-Twice/Nayeon stan I will probably watch this again. Kard, to me, is always worth a look/listen I hope Youngjaes new release finds its way into one of your K-Pop Catch Up videos. It's a nice and bright, little sexy song.
It's 100% up to you if you want to dive into a group's lore or not. What other reason do we have for doing anything kpop related other then it's fun and we enjoy it? So I will always recomment Loona's music as they have one of my favorite kpop discographies of all time. But lore things are fully up to you. Yes they have structured and introduced it in a very interesting way that has a lot of people invested and it's fun to see colors, visual cues, dance moves, lyrics and think to yourself, how would this tie into the story? But if that's not your things it's not. I'll still appreciate a reaction! Also the girl you said gave you Handong vibes is Haseul, a korean member, who has classical/opera vocal training. And the girl at the start of the MV that you said was super cute is actually the chinese member, Vivi. She's the only foreigner in the group. ♥

I loved this comeback. It was so fun and it was nice to see them do something with a little latin influence again. Jiwoo's light colorful hair reminded me of when they first debuted. The Jeon sisters (Somin and Jiwoo, not actual sisters btw), or the Jokers since they represent the joker cards in a card deck, have a song called Enemy that's really good. BM, the big guy, has mentioned before that he thinks if the girls were to become an official sub unit, that they would be unstoppable. The Kim brothers (BM and Jseph, king and ace cards respectively, not actual brothers) also have one called Inferno One of their full group songs "Trust Me" actually has 3 versions, one with everyone, one of just BM and Somin, and one of just Jseph and Jiwoo. Each one is fantastic. BM writes and produces, Jseph writes, Somin has a YT channel called Minny J, and Jiwoo was on Good Girl with our bias Hyo. I think you'll like them if you decide to delve more into them.
