I’m a Maori from New Zealand , but I’ve always felt that the best vocals in the world have been coming out of the Philippines. It’s just they don’t have a huge fan base for the vocals they produce , I swear if a singer from Korea had vocals like hers she would sky rocket to fame .
Absolutely, I'm a filipino myself and there lots of great singers in the Philippines will it be ordinary people or artists. But most of the times producers tend to "FAME"over real talents referring to a REAL GREAT SINGERS. Leaving behind the real ones.

No, I think OPM songwriting has dramatically gone down. The 70s (Apo, Freddie Aguilar, Hotdog, etc) and 90s (Eraserheads, Parokya ni Edgar, South Border, etc) were the best times for the Philippines in terms of songwriting.

The rhythm, harmony and blending of different styles of singing voices is incredibly truly awesome and soothingly sweet to your senses, complimented by equally great acoustics.
