This is not a bad ratchet and has a good fit and finish. it is only a 36 tooth but uses a heavy duty pawl and extra thick bottom plate. the weird thing is that it is a completely different build then their flex head version which is a single part number difference.

Catus what a surprise - you are reviewing a ratchet!!! But no matter how many i see i enjoy them! I have learned to grade tool quality much better after watching your videos for the past several years. Good job ole boy!!!

Larry, i have to agree with you. If it wasn't for Catus, i would have never known the difference between them all after these 3 years watching the show. I do know there is nothing special with Snap On, or Matco. ...i have found Huskey has the same qualities as Matco Flex head at a 10th. of the price, and the internals are exactly like Gearwrench O. Ring inside of them. I prefer hex bits to hold them together then Phillips head machine screws. Good eye my friend.

Love knurled ratchets.

My experience with my K-Tool ratchets is the nice knurling. The Knurling handles are not as common these days. K-Tool ratchets hold a premium resale value as well.

I've seen the K-Tool stuff in the tool catalogue at the local parts store. Never heard of them before. I prefer the knurled handles on ratchets. Most manufacturers seem to knock off the Snap-On style handle. I'll have to look further into these ratchets.

Catus where do you find all these tool????

You seldom run across anything K-tool stamped on it. I don’t think they manufacture overwhelmingly mass quantities like so many other tool makers.

Have you ever looked at DE Rogers and associates they repair ratchets and have parts or machine parts for repair just though you or someone else might be interested

I think it's fitting that it's sold at a construction supply house; with only 36 teeth it wouldn't appeal to consumers used to 72. 90, 120 teeth ratchets. The low tooth count means it will endure high torque levels without breakage. I have only one each of 1/4 & 3/8 drive ratchets with tooth counts above 60 because of my experience with high tooth count ratchets failing. My 1/2 ancient Craftsman & even older SK ratchets have stood up to 40 & 45 years of abuse and still work as good as new. Please repeat that ratchets should be cleaned and oiled regularly for the longest life.

If you take a file to the affected parts of your nails, they will look much better and eventually clear up. Grind it down as far as you can without hurting the bed. Not doing this will just allow the infection to continue, and it will never go away. I recommend using neosporin a few times a day on the nail beds once you get them filed down. Good luck brother.

I recognize the logo. Pretty sure I have one. I am not a fan of "quick release" ratchets. They work best within their own brand. I like how my 28+ year old Snap Ons ball detent still work with anything but the worst sockets with no fuss. I should grab up all of the failures (I have a drawer full, 50+) sell them, and buy a couple of gallons of gas and a dozen eggs.

@@politicalpotato8383 Probably a lot of number dollars. Problem is with obiden our dollar is worthless now. Things don't cost any more than they did before this year but obiden and his administration (and congress) have made our money absolutely worthless. Crazy what one year of evil fools and idiots can do to the greatest country on the planet. I will keep the garbage ratchets. Somebody might need to fix something because they can't afford to hire someone. I will give them to those people. May get a few shells in return.
