So sad that one of the greatest film makers this country has ever seen gets very less recognition as he's branded a regional film maker. In his heydays during the late 70's and 80's every film of his was a classic.
The explanation by Kalatapasvi about that particular scene and the way the Legendary actor grasped the instructions and immediately concluded the scene with that subtle change from teary eyes to a slow and steady laughter is truly outstanding. When legends are at work...that's what we get - a scene forever the best. Kudos to both the legends.🙏🙏🙏
That scene K Viswanadh sir explained was simply fabulous. I don't even know how many times i've watched that scene. one of the best scenes of all time.
@@geniusfollower He said the scene where Kamal cries holding Jaya prada's hands was improvised, bec Viswanath sir got an idea on that very instance that why not make the scene end in laughter instead of crying. He shouted out - Kamal laugh. If it were other actors they might have asked what sir did u say cut n might have spoiled the scene, but Kamal is so intelligent that he thought alike n simply switched to laughter from crying. N Viswanath garu was really impressed by Kamal's attentiveness.
Adi talent ante. Hats off to the director for coming up with the idea. Hats off to the actor for catching the instruction in the middle of a shot!! Hats off!!
K Vishwanath, the name is an emotion for us telugu PPL and also south Indians in general. We are so lucky to be born in his era and witness his art. He made our boring lives so tasteful, artful and joyful with his work, what a great artist to have walked this land. An auteur who deserves the greatest awards in world cinema
@Nani-fo4qx Rajinikanth sir is star but I would say Kamal sir is a versatile actor and can easily adapt any character like he played 10 characters in Dasavatharam
SS is an epic movie.. SS is a once in life time movie.. the movie has everything in it which will embrace us with pure love, passion, hard-work and sacrifice..

Well it went to Om Puri for Ardhsatya which was a commendable performance too. Those were the good days of Indian cinema and the competition was tough.
Good work done " Indian cinema 100 year's" Kamal Hassan completed 60 year's south Indian Cinema must acknowledge this unique achievement ...4 National 19 filmfare , Padma shree , Padma Bhushan , Doctorate ,8 state , Nandee Awards ,Asian , Chavaliar From France government.. 5 Indian languages.. 150+ movie's
Kamal Haasan deserved a national award for this movie, and others, also K Viswanath n K Balachander. But simetimes they doesn't had the national recognize because they from south east. For egg how Saif Ali Khan win an national award for best actor 🤔🤔🤔
Request a translation of Viswanath gaaru's comments. I caught some of it. Shame on me that I don't understand this incredibly beautiful Telugu language.
He says that in the scene where Kamal is crying when he got the invite to perform; the shot was to end but KV shouted laugh Kamal. And Kamal did a proper transition and actually laughed with the happiness.
Vishwanath garu says "Let's take an example of the Wimbledon championship. Only in our films the hero does 'cut panna song' dance with proper 1-2-3-4 rhythmic steps, he does all shorts of merry making. But in reality, when some work so hard and win a prestigious championship like Wimbledon. He/she falls to the ground and kisses it and cries. Because he knows that this achievement for him is ultimate and inexplicable (all the dances and jumping doesn't justify the worth of that achievement). I have designed the whole sequence with similar thoughts: here the character will catch the hand of the heroine once he sees himself in the invitation, he is overwhelmed by emotions and couldn't stop crying. The heroine consoles him and asks to stop crying etc. etc. But while filming the whole sequence, something clicked my mind. Yeah, kamal is a good artist right. Why should we only stick to one emotion. (When someone achieve something big, the flashbacks of the past do come in our head and all the struggles we have faced will make us cry. But we also feel happy at the same time). We can also show this side of the emotion with an actor like KH. As soon as I got the idea, I instructed kamal to laugh. But by then the camera was still rolling and the actors were performing the scene. Any other actor at that moment will take the instruction as a cut, stops acting and asks for another take. But kamal has the presence of mind and he registered my instruction at the back of his mind. So, Instead of immediately laughing in the scene, he took his time and slowly starts smiling to show his happiness. This was an excellent shot" Thanks for asking for an explanation. This is indeed one of the greatest and iconic scenes of telugu cinema. This trivia made it even more special. As back in those days, retakes are costly since there were no digital cameras and wastage of shot is a waste of reel.
சலங்கை ஒலி ( Salangai oli ) Nobody can even think about the performance what Kamal , the ulaganayagan done in that film ❤️🔥 Can somebody remake that Film ( Salangai oli ) , No one can Unimaginable one for all 💫💥 That's Kamal Hasan 💖🛐
Chiyaan vikram will continue the legacy of kamal, now kamal is 65 so he should stick only to direction when doing action films, he should direct marmayogi with chiyaan vikram in his role
