That is a clean OBS. I've got an 89 rcsb with almost the same wheels with 32x11.50s on them. I did a grille swap from a 99 tahoe because the 96 and up grilles look so much better and the headlights are far superior to the old sealed beams. I'm ordering a 4 inch lift on friday and plan on repainting it the midnight blue color that the top and bottom of the two tone is. I've always had a thing for obs chevys and this one came up dirt cheap. I've got $700ish in it after replacing the blown engine and towed a camper from western utah to Yellowstone and back with it. It's a solid truck and will hopefully be passed down to my son one day.
I had to look! I've got a 93 short - 6 inch lift 3 inch body lift with the Corvette /Z28 looking hood, so far it's the only thing painted black besides the underside of the truck being restored to better than new, MAN I CANT WAIT till it's all painted and looking this good on the outside! Going to pick up a 6.0/ 4l80 for my swap today 🤘
Beautiful Truck! I’m looking for a k1500 but one of the newest modles that have airbags. I was looking at lift but I might not put one in now. I’ll probably just do a similar thing to you.
Nice video. I’m looking at doing wheels and tires for my truck it’s a stock k1500 no lift or anything. I was considering trying to run 32’s but i know they’ll rub some. Looking back how does it do with them?
Sorry for the delayed response it’s hard to keep up with stuff. When I had 32s they cleared well on my 2” level so I think you’ll be fine but you might have to crank your keys a little
Depends on your wheel width and offset I have a 2” kit as well and my wheels are only 10 wides but -38 offset so if you have a 10 wide wheel they’ll for sure fit but a 12 wide -44 will be close but it should
What year? I’ve got a 92 step side k1500 same color and everything. I’ve done some cosmetics as far as lights, tint, bed cover, etc. next thing I want to do is the wheels. I haven’t had good luck with lifting over the years. Did leveling work out good?
@Amac82 mine is just the sky jacked leveling kit with the leveling keys cranked 3/4 of the way and on 33x13.50 I only had to do minor trimming and i get full lock turning. It can be done
Oh yea, and coming from a guy who lived in Faribault for 5 years i couldn’t help but notice at the end of the vid it still starts snowing every Halloween LOL
Bro I have a 98 Silverado stock height, I’m running 31x10.50r15!! I’m trying to fit 33x12.50r15 but a lot of shops telling me I won’t fit it, not even with a 2” leveling kit, is this true? What’s your setup?
Is there any way around it i just bought 33 12.5 20 for my 92 Silverado its has a 2" suspension lift and if I halfto take a Sawzall an make body cuts i will
