Hey Ricardo...Im interested in buying these but have difficulties skating regular speed skates. I have powerslide puls speed skates..i haven't developed the ankle stability yet to skate those. Does the cuff on the Redline's offer enough support ? Would you recommend them? I was thinking about the four 110's. I wear size 44 on Powerslide is K2 similar in sizing? Thanks Brother for all you do!

I did try 42.5, it did actually fit, usally im a size 43-44. It was a dream to see a pair of K2 redline 125 irl after watching this video on repeat over a decade.

Video is spot on with every things he says in this video, I thought I would be able to skate without cuff (never ever tried without a cuff) Ricardio hit me in the face with that!

I only have super thick aggressive skates that are super wide with small wheels. I have been so interested in making the jump to 100mm or taller wheels. I have loved skating for over 20 years now since I played roller hockey as a young boy. These would be awesome to get into tri wheels

Just got a pair of the 125 redlines to replace mod 110s that I've been using to train for a personal goal of 100miles in 12 hours. So far I agree with everything you said and they don't beat up my feet nearly as much and carry speed easily.

And how are they after 100miles? I'm planning 200 miles trip and wonder would they be still comfy after such long distance. Does no toes cover bother you much and the cuff is necessary?

The coolest thing about this skate? The cute squeak sound it makes every time you move the cuff forward and back lol

Hi! Love your channel. I currently have a the K2 VO2 S (hi-lo) which I love… I skate about 50 miles+ per week and want to get into marathon skating but also want to get into speed skating (currently have VNLA carbons which I don’t totally love because they hurt) - these K2 redlines seem like a perfect answer. Question: if I wore them indoors at a skating rink would that seem out of place?

How do you break to keep your speed low while going downhill with these skates? I like them but they look dangerous for mixed elevations.

Hello...very nice review very nice SKATES...can you tell me please is this one of the comfortable one? Is better this or 4 wheels 110 size for everyday use longer distance? Is possible mount break on it, because i have dog run with me and i need break for it? Thanks

FINALLY a slick set of recreational skates (maybe marathon “type”) instead of big bulky things that look like Kmart. If I was to ever go from my speed skates back to rec skates - these would probably be it. Well done K2! 👏

I had a goal this season to skate 64 miles in one skate because I'm 64 years old. I only had my old Rollerblade lightning speed 90mm to do it in I could only get around 45 before the strap started to hurt my shins so I got the maximum edge 3w. The day I got them I had a fall down my basement stairs sprained my ankle. By the time I could put them on it was to late to return them. When I did get to trying them on i new right off the bat I couldn't do it in them they hurt to much. I found some thin padding I could put on my shins so I tried it again in my old 90mm which are a soft boot I end up doing 76.8 miles in one skate . But I need a skate that for long skate I would like to be able challenge myself do it faster and I believe I could go farther. I have been looking for a soft boot with big wheels but had no luck . This skate looks like it. Except I have one problem even though I have been skating for 37 years I have never learned how to stop with out a brake. Didn't even know you could till 3 years ago when I first started to watch RU-vid. And even if I could the trail that I skate is about 3 miles with 4 roads i keep crossing that I have to slow down or stop at my wheels would be a mess in no time. If bought them could I put the big wheel frames from rollerblade on them they come with brakes. Would be nice if I could get a 4 110 frame to but not sure if I could put a brake on 4 110. Powerslide makes a brake call the road hug that may work. Is the fit wide. Do they fit same as shoe size. My 90mm are sizes 9.5 my maximum are 9 they fit really snug but I believe they are a narrow fit. O tell the wife when I take my dogs for a walk I get about ten minutes before I have to go pee but I didn't have to go will I was Skating 76.8. So it shouldn't be a problem doing a marathon. Keep up the great videos

How did it workout? Im interested in getting them but not sure if I could skate them...i have a pair of powerslide puls speed skates which are very difficult for me to use due to lack of ankle support. Does the cuff on these help in that regards..would you recommend them?

These skates look like they are designed the way all other skates should have been designed in the first place. I skate freestyle with the cuff removed from my seba cj boots just so i can move my ankles. I want a pair of these k2 redlines.

Those skates seem way to fast for me, if it was ice i had no problem with the speed 🤣😂 but my ability to brake on wheels its going face down first

All skates should have an option to have a brake on them except aggressive. I do long distance skating but not a lot of crossovers. Don't really need to not like like I'm racing on a oval tack

I hope Ricardo is still monitoring comments here. Thanks so much for this review. Yes, it does strike me as disappointing that parts of the lower boot are not heat moldable. But your comment about being able to get your knees low is exactly what I wanted to hear. I've got a pair of Arise RDs now and this is the big problem with them - you really can't get your knees low. I think at the end of the day that Viktor Thorup is right about the disadvantages of "Semi Speed" skates, which is pretty much what the Arise skates are. Ironically, back in the day I had some 90s Aeroblades, and you could get really low in them, even though they were just high performance recreational skates with a high cuff. They were so flexible. So other than being nervous about lateral support in the lower boot, the Redlines look like the perfect boot in this day and age. I have two questions for you: Given the softer material on top, now that you've had more time to skate on the Redlines, do you feel about the support your heel laterally, and same question for the ball of the foot? Only partially related, but I've been struggling with issue of braking. It's all good when there is lots of room and you can predict things, but when skating on a narrower path especially with traffic, it just feels unsafe. I'd like to go to a longer wheelbase, but what then is the braking strategy under the above circumstances? A heel brake *might* work if available, I don't know.
