I wonder if they're trying to deter folks from buying a different skate over the holidays and wait until this drops. Whatever the reason, it's cool to see them now. Hope you have a quick recovery on that wrist, Jake!
So good that you enjoyed it, and sorry for your fall. "Whatever it is that you need"? Muscle and endurance is not the biggest part - it is even more proper technique to skate efficiently fast for a long time! key is to let your weight and gravity work for you together with your push ("Weight shift", "power box"). Then a perfect set down for the zero friction really long glide ;) A good recovery leg motion to rest your leg that is not pushing and the proper core stability, arm movement etc.. to not mess up your technique with you upper movement getting you all inclinded. Further there is race strategy: slip stream of course, fast start and prospective skating to close down gaps and not waste energy doing every little speed increase. Wheels yes 125 mm will make you faster and glide longer once you are at a higher tempo but if you can´t keep your technique in them for 1 and half hour because your instable and improne directly wihle setting down your wheels then they are slower. its the same reason why most people don´t get fast switching to a low cut boot. For proper tips just watch Victor Thorup, Pascal Briand or Joey Mantia they are the only YTs with a dedicated channel i know. Hope to see you next year.
Put out more regular content and you will GET more subs! I`m sure I speak for fellow subscribees that we love your stuff but there just isn`t enough of it.
Hey I have been skating Sebas/FR1 with intuitions for over a decade. The speed lacing looks cool but I usually go through 3+ sets of laces before I replace a pair of intuitions (well i have only replaced my intuitions twice but you do need to replace laces eventually, I am not sure ill be able to replace the speed lacing? Anyway I am interested in trying these they look awesome. I can crush 10 hour days in sebas so i doubt I will be switching but it's the first skate in ages I am pumped about!
The speed lacing is totally replaceable. I actually think you are way less likely to wear out the laces with speed lacig because its a more controlled mechanism with less wear-points. Also, you can just entirely remove the speed lacing and just use normal laces if you want to :-)
Perhaps next time we can have Gaston actually next to mic rather than just vaguely in the same county. Sounded he was phoning in....via the radio! Congrats on the marathon though, hope your wrist gets better soon. Wear gloves/guards!
@@CatzzSkatesFamily the company slogan is "the soft boot company". I hope it does well for them but they need to up their game and come out with some soft boots that can match their former glory.
