Not bad at all! I was able to make 444 at 15 psi on a 5 spring at the gate with a walbro 450 on my k24a2 turbo setup! Car is wicked fast at that power level
I had an ef civic hatchback with a B18C and it was fun as could be. But, a k24 with turbo in an eg would be my fun day out and about car. Really neat car
Dude, I love the videos and content. I would love to see more footage of you tuning the car and the little adjustments that you’re making throughout the tuning session. Might make for some interesting content 🤷🏽♂️ Either way, love the videos!!
So I forgot to mention in the video. But if you look at the manifold you can see the turbo manifold is actually meant for t4. But there is a T3 flange welded on and the turbo is a T3. This definitely creates more back pressure at the wastegate. It’s definitely a unique issue with this setup. Normally this setup would have boost creep. But I believe this odd transition is to blame why we can’t get more boost.
You said how much HP? .... I've got a 94 VX with d15z1 and p08 head, stock exhaust and intake, maybe 100hp. I live in the mountains, and here, traction is more important than power. That much HP on these roads would reduce your life expectancy to hours. Maybe just one hour. I need to call this man.
Hey there I know you probably get a ton of questions but I would really appreciate it if you could help me out with a couple of things. I am currently finishing up receiving parts for an mrS k24 swap and am on the fence with 2 things. 1)putting a 50 degree vtc gear. Note this is an absolutely stock 2007 k24a2 with an rbc manifold. I have done a ton of research and did find the tractuff pin that can be used as a mechanical stop. With the vast amount of cars you have tuned I'm sure you have seen this basic set up time and time again. Would it be okay to use that pin with the vtc gear? 2) I am going to be making a custom exhaust 2.5" piping with a vibrant ultra quiet resonator and was planning to run a borla transverse dual exit part 40477. Would this effect performance? I have looked in forums and while I did Fine good info I would also like to hear from someone with your experience. Thanks for your time.
Ive tuned countless K24A2 with 50* VTC wheel and no pin / mechanical stop - Just dont set the VTC angles to more then 40* and you'll be fine That exhaust system should be good
Good video! Me and my brother both just bought an ek hatch and we are going to swap one of them. Do you recommend a b swap or a k-swap? We’re both 17 so we don’t have much money to work with
Whatever you do, if you plan to drive it regularly, don't go above 2.0L, build it modestly and patiently, and you'll enjoy it for years. If you're going to drag it, go big and go hard.
