** I realize that in my video I say we will do the giveaway 300 subs. I misspoke in the video and forgot to edit it out. I apologize for any confusion.
Excited to announce I will be giving away a Radiowavz 75 meter Double Bazooka once this channel reaches 500 subscribers. Subscribe to enter for a chance to win!! I am not sure how I will pick the winner, but it will be in a way that everyone of the first 500 subscribers will have an equal chance. The rest of the video is of me building and installing a home-brew 40 meter off-center fed dipole. This is not an instructional video. Just a video of me doing it.

I went to high school in Longmont I now live in Texas. I do go home to Durango from time to time. I do Parks on the air on a regular basis. Lately I have been at K-10274 I hope to work you one day. I would like to see you do a live stream like ham jazz VK7BIX dose. Carry on WQ9V.

Glad you enjoyed it! The antenna worked really good on 10, 15, and 20. Had a lot of noise on 40 for some reason. Good luck with yours!

Very nice video! A question that comes to my mind: why are you setting up wire antennas when you live in such a nice place for a multiband yagi or quad? Look for status quad :) the bands are completely different when you have them. 73!

Because that stuff takes time and planning. I have a 60ft tower I’ll be putting up in the spring and still deciding what will go on top. For now I am pretty happy with the full size g5rv and I just ordered a ZS6BKW that will be here Thursday. I know people either love or hate the g5rv. I am in the love them camp. Always been a good performer for me. Between me and you the OCF dipole I built sucked. Well at least for the band intended it for it was pretty good on the other bands tho - 20-15-10. 40 was terrible. Took it down today in preparation for the ZS6BKW. Take care bro

@@JosephLittleK3ARK nice, you’ve got good plans then. Another wire antenna I think you’d like is the delta loop. It takes a 4:1, you can calibrate it for 40 and it will be resonant on 40, 20, 15 and 10 as well. The difference is that loop antennas are low noise and wide band. If you use aluminum wire you will see absolute flat swr on the entire resonant bands 😀 73!
