Ok, we aren't really inspecting the lines from several hundred feet above them. But, they were recently replaced. The "water witch" method was used, where a pressure washer with a narrow angle tip makes a slit in the ground to accept the line.
Yes, the slit is not that deep, but the goal is to make sure the lines are out of the way and that the grass can be cut without damaging them.
Works great, except for the muddy mess. You also can't damage an existing line that you might accidentally encounter.
