Tonya Sanchez: Yes, the Kindergarten Daily Learning Notebook is a free download on my website :) Just visit my site and on the right sidebar you'll see my curriculum. Click on the daily learning notebooks and then scroll to the kindergarten one.
I am new to homeschooling my 4 year old because he has completed private pre-k but because of his age they will not let let him enroll in Kindergarten. You have been a huge impact I love how you work with your children and all the resources and information you provide. Thank you so much for being such an amazing and giving person.
My daughter LOVED this so much. It was so easy to use and I feel she learned so much. And, seriously, I would have paid a lot more money for it - but thanks for keeping it affordable. You rock. :)
I LOVE this review! Thank you! I bought this for my daughter to start this fall and because of moving haven't had a chance to print everything yet, so it was great to see what some of the activities will be like when we get there.
Hey +Kaye Harlow, I printed all of mine at home on my own printer, but it has taken me almost two years to get it all completed. ;) It's quite a bit to print, but I really wanted to have it all printed and laminated as I have many who I still have left to home school in the younger years and I know I'll get lots of use out of it. ;)
Thanks for your reply Rebecca! I am planning to purchase the curriculum for my 4 yr old dd. I try checking some copying service but the delivery cost more than the materials. I guess i will just do what you did. JUst print the materials one at a time. Have nice day! :)
I love the videos you're doing about your curriculums. I will be purchasing letter of the week in a couple of weeks. My question with this is I noticed on another video you used Abeka phonics with your little one. Did you start that when you started this curriculum? Also, when did you fit that into her schooling? Thanks!
Brooke Osterbrock Hi Brooke, I used my K4 kindergarten with her but she was really too young for kindergarten, so last year we did a mix of the harder K4 kindergarten and some Abeka phonics combined. So i basically just added in Abeka's extra reading and phonics practice with my curriculum if that makes sense.
My sister purchased your curriculum for me and we finally printed it all out!! So excited to get my daughter started on it !!! Will I need to print anything else out from your free printable section? I've already printed out the Daily Learning Notebook. Thanks
Nothing, content is the same. Some people prefer to have a CD they can take from computer to computer, others like to download because they get the files immediately.
why is it just about every one of your videos I click on I cannot hear any sound? I have watched some before and it was just fine but the last month I've had this problem :( and it's just your vids
Hi, I apologize my older video sound was mono, I didn't realize it at the time. The newer videos should be stereo, and if you are using headphones, the older ones should at least be coming out of one side. Sorry!
since i only have 1 child and wont be reusing the materials instead of laminating can we just cut and glue the pieces likesee it build it write it and the the games after for sight words and the number skip count puzzles and missing letter game apples
I got the download and it looks like the same lesson plans are in each 3 folders. I'm a bit confused since some files look the same and are named the same. I'm trying to get everything ready to print and I don't want to duplicate or leave anything out. Please help!
+Julia Cantley The lesson plans should be in the first zip file plus a bunch of files that you'll need for the curriculum. The other 2 zip downloads contain more files, there should not be any duplicated files. Email me if you have troubles, but you should have downloaded 3 different zipped files.
My son is 5 years old, he turns 6 the end of September. He currently attends pre-school at our local public school but we are considering homeschooling this next school year. Would this curriculum work for him? He has learned all of his letters and sounds, numbers, shapes, colors, days of the week and months of the year so far. They haven't started any math or reading that I'm aware. Is this program equivalent to a public school Kindergarten? We have been looking at the Abeka curriculum but for his age they recommend K-5. Would love your opinion. Thank you!
+Lynn D. Yes, as long as he's familiar with all of his letters and their sounds K4/5 should be perfect for you :) It's a full kindergarten level curriculum. If you go with Abeka, then I would start at their K5 level.
Hello Erika I have a question I have a daughter that it's going to turn 5 next month... I'm trying to teaching her to read but I'm confused... she learn the blends from a abeka book that my son use when he was in school last year for kindergarten. it's call my blends and word book this is my first year doing homeschool... so my question would be I have seen some videos when mom's do the ladder blends like at, am, ad, an, ag... when it's that I need to introduce this ladder blends or this is another way to learn how to read. because it doesn't make cense to me if she know to read ba be bi bo bu now she needs to learn (at) like b+at= bat I my be wrong I'm so confused lol helpppppp
+Yadira Cortez I normally teach vowels first then move onto consonants. Once children have learned their vowels they can start doing beginning blend sounds with each consonant. So for example after learning a,e,i,o,u, they move to letter ‘b’. They can then use the blend cards in the curriculum to learn beginning reading skills. So they’ll say ‘ba, be, bi, bo, bu”. Once they have that down, they can add another consonant to the end to create “bat, bet, bit, bot, but” and so on. It is just a first step in learning to put the letter sounds together to form words.
Hi Erica. I watched your video today for the first time. I really enjoyed it. I live all the way in Nigeria, Africa. I am a support teacher for my 3 children. I enjoy early years and I am looking to own a school someday. I find it so hard to make a lesson plan for my kids. I am interested in buying your lesson plan for Pre-K and preschool. Please kindly let me know how to purchase. Thank you. Vanessa
La Couponista I currently only offer my products in digital format. So you can choose between a download or CD format. The content for both the download and CD are identical, it's just a different delivery method.
+Erica Arndt I was told by bestvaluecopy that if you are using 5 or more uploads that it costs extra and that I would have to take all your PDFs and combine them into one PDF and upload to print. That PDF with all them combined would be huge! Any suggestions?
The classroom version is for use in a class or co-op setting with multiple students, day-cares, or multiple homeschooling families all using it together. The regular download or CD is for personal use with your own children only (no matter how many you have!). If you plan to use it with just your children, you only need the regular personal use version.
NOT for homeschooling because you shouldn’t homeschool for more than two hours a day in 15 minutes chunks every second day because your child will burn out with the intensity of one on one teaching
Well, everyone is different, we used this and loved it and my kids didn't burn out. I think you can adjust how long you do school each day. I also suggest you make sure you're complying with your state requirements as well.
Did you make this up? Your personal belief? I've never heard this. Sounds like personal preference. To each his own. But yes... This is for Homeschool.
