Type 5 Ka-Ri in World of Tanks is a Japanese premium Tier 8 tank destroyer. This is the first vehicle of this class in the game, and there will also be a full-fledged highlight of upgradeable vehicles. This tank destroyer has interesting characteristics that allow it to stand out among its classmates, but its gameplay is reminiscent of existing vehicles, especially the German Jagdpanther II.

Both types of projectiles are armor-piercing and therefore have good normalization, while they also have quite good flight speed.
The main factor for many players is that this tank destroyer lacks a turret, which determines the vehicle’s gameplay in the future. Horizontal aiming angles are -12...+12°, which is not bad in principle, and the difference of 2 degrees still feels much more comfortable when compared with other classmates. The main advantage of armor is chopping. Although part of the cabin penetrates from 230 mm, the gun mantlet is large and strong 300 mm, if you do not give the enemy the opportunity to take aim, then you can confidently shoot out thousands of damage. In this regard, Ka-Ri's gameplay is very similar to Jagdpanther II.
With a low weight of 45 tons, the Type 5 Ka-Ri received an excellent engine, so the specific power is one of the best among its classmates 16.66 hp/t, which allows you to quickly reach the declared maximum speed of 40 km/h. The turning speed of the chassis is also good, so the tank destroyer spins in place quite briskly.
Although the size of Ka-Ri cannot be called small, the stealth coefficient is not bad, which allows you to safely play at medium and long range, but after the shot, the camouflage is greatly reduced, so the risk of detection is high.
The viewing radius is 380 meters, which is basically normal for a level 8 tank destroyer.
