A Rabbi who gets it about making God actual. I'm not familiar with him and I'm not endorsing everything he says herein. It seems he learns Kabbalah from books on Kabbalah and not directly from Torah. I think the Kabbalah is the enlightenment teachings out from the Torah. His rejection of belief in God is amazing if only other people understood what he means in depth. YHW(V)H is the "tetragrammaton" or divine name for deity, it was a name originally only spoken in the temple by a high priest/rabbi but after separation from the teaching of G-D and the diaspora of the Hebrew nation after the destruction of the second temple, the pronunciation of that name is now lost completely. Trying to pronounce the name is considered a great error as we do not have the knowledge of that name and should not presume to think we understand G-D in such an important action. That is why Elohim (Almighty), Hashem (the name) and Adonai (most high) are used as worthy substitutes for YHVH today, as the original word is forever lost until the eventful day when it will be revealed once again.
That also explains why the Rabbi carefully says the Yod, the Hey, the Vav and the Hey all separately, so he does not commit the great error of saying them closely together or presume to know the pronunciation of the lost Holy name.

It's actually not that radical. Protestant nations have been trying to accomplish just that. The US is suppose to be the New Jerusalem built by people worshiping G-d through their labor, strong family values and being morally good. That is the US tnat protestants want to build - a heaven on Earth. The thing is that protestants actually got those ideas from catholic monks who came up with those idea early on but unfortunately could not implement them because of the strong feudal system in place. A more democratic system needed to be put in place for those ideas to be put in place. Unfortunately, those ideas have since been replaced with extreme materialism with the strong rise of atheism and resentment of G-d, religion and the church. I am not Christian but I do realize and accept that there have been exceptional Christian leaders who tried doing that right thing. As much as I hate to admit it, we must do exactly as Rabbi Aaron suggests, materialize the spiritual qualities into matter.

They weren't Kabbalist though and one was a child molester. But that's the reason why I hate to admit it. I just never grew up with a wise Rabbi. My family just lost faith and became secular. I love Judaism and I am proud of my heritage. Nevertheless I feel totaly foreign to the Haredim in Mea Shearim or all the other ultraorthodox sects. Would I had been born in such a family, I am convinced I had left them, too. In general I dislike fundamental groups that control people´s life, no matter of what religion. All this kind of fanatism creates a lot of crap in people´s mind, neurotic behaviour and unhealthy distance to normal life. No surprise you can find among them child molester, abuse of power, a lot of depression and anxiety. Personaly I take my freedom to learn from multiple sources of wisdom that speak to me. I have some friends who see themselves as Pagans, as Druids. I love celebrating with them the festivals of the circle of the year honoring the Earth and her creatures. I lived for a while in India learning in a vedic Temple. There it became clear that Vedic Wisdom is far away from general Hinduism and its negative effects on India and her population. And in Judaism you can find as anywhere else a lot of empty preaching, but Judaism itself is deep wisdom. And some Rabbis as Rabbi Zalman Schachter- Shalomi or Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski express and radiat it perfectly. Shalom!

ppl don't like to believe in a guy up in the sky that is God and He punishes? The trials that we endure and yet still turn to God for help in patience and prayer is a way a human shows his love and belief for His Creator. If u hate him coz u don't want his trials, then u have not showed urself worthy of His blessings or paradise then. You don't just turn away and make him a lifeless source of energy coz u cannot picture him as a deity in the sky who has the power. Torah says I am what I am.
