Great Podcast. As you touched upon during the podcast, I can understand the lack of licences in the Euro Sets - however, I find it bizarre how the artwork hasn't been chosen to better hide it as in the case of the Topps Wemby. Seems like they're shooting themselves in a foot a bit. Also, as Enzo said, why not place greater focus with inserts/auto pairs on the teams with licencing?
Thanks Ben! I don’t envy the job of the design/product team in Topps on this one. People want the best players included and most of the best players play for the unlicensed teams. As Enzo said on the episode you could stick to the licensed stuff but you’d have to lower the price… and that’s a no-no.
I love hearing random thoughts from the two of you and imagining that someone joins the podcast at that very moment and don't have any context as to what you're talking about. Today's example: Jason's response to Enzo saying that Twitter is just a bunch of porn links, "Yeah, it's just a bunch of snuff films and stuff" (Of I recall hearing that correctly 😂). Imagine that being the first thing you hear when tuning into "Soccer Cards United". 😳🤔😂
