on September 13th, 2011 the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. Was attacked by Taliban insurgents. Defending in was a mixture of ISAF troops from Macadonia and US troops along with Afghan security forces.
It was the biggest attack on the embassy since 2006 and showed the fight for the capital was not over.
