person638 Indeed. She and Little Big Town (with the slightly less overt "Girl Crush" and it's double meaning) are both brave. While Country Music has some open minded people, the closed minded ones made a good grab at claiming the whole genre for the past few decades. Heroes of tolerance like Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings and Outlaw Country were forgotten in trade for the douchebags, and it's only in recent years Country has clawed back from it. I mean think about it. Was it really THAT long ago The Dixie Chicks were completely turned into Country Enemy #1 simply for DISAGREEING with an evil piece of crap like Dubya Bush? No it was NOT that long ago.

I think the fact that Brad Paisley and tim McGraw are currently two of the most popular country music artists right now (and for years now) while at the same time supporting Obama and Hillary and gun control proves this.

CaptainDuckman you’re being sarcastic right? ahaha the dixie chicks were scrutinized, sent death threats and completely banned from country radio because they made a negative comment about the sitting president, 10 years later kacey was low key banned from country radio again for this song because it featured a pro LGBT line, apparently the same happened to Willie Nelson for the same reasons, I mean.... you gotta be joking

Yup, me too. A friend introduced me to "Oh What A World". First time I have dowlnoaded a country album. Finally a country artist with some balls. Not afraid to go against the grain. Can't stand what I call "Corporate Country" singing about beer, pickup trucks, yada, yada ,yada.
