It may be hard to understand if you’re not a musician playing during worship but you’re always going to be changing sounds or turning volumes of certain sounds up and down to add to the dynamics.

Just to add to what he has said (in terms of illustration). Think of it like this. Imagine driving (especially a manual car) you’re always going to be fiddling with your gear (and speed), because you would need to slow down or speed up at different turns or bumps (doesn’t matter if there’s an emergency in the car) You can’t just set it at one gear and run at that speed all the way.
