2016 Abadango played a ton of Meta Knight in Smash 4 but played more Mewtwo towards the end of the game

abadango dropped meta knight back in 2019 but recently hes started playing him again, he beat shuton and proto a couple months ago, and now we see the fruition of his work

if u want to see another "top level" meta knight you can watch yei or bonk; yei gets better results but he switches off mk after a single loss so its not great for analysis

Meta Knight has to work very hard to find a kill if he doesn’t get a low percent combo to kill. Definitely not top tier but not as low as most people place him.

@@bond3161 well the thing with forward tilt is you can angle it. It can catch jumps and ledge hangs. You obviously shouldnt throw them out just because. I only throw them out when im reading the opponent

mosy of the roster is a losing match for seph. Small characters, rush down and zoners kill Sephiroth. He is just horrendously designed. Carried over by the fact he is a super famous character. With all the hype aside, even with all his tools Seph might be mid tier or low high tier at best. Seph should have the weight and frame data similar to cloud but nope. Meanwhile Kazuya.....

Yeah I've felt that Seph loses to short characters. Of particular note that no one acknowledges are meta knight and Greninja. Other common mentions include joker, pikachu, fox, and sheik. I think these characters' rush-down natures aren't anywhere near as bad of a problem as them low-profiling and nearly invalidating Seph's back air when they're on the ground. Even horizontal f tilt can go over their heads. Side b goes over greninja's head (I couldn't believe that). Joker is supposed to be a human character like Sephiroth (aka tall), but he turns into a pancake like pikachu when he dashes/runs. Joker's dash is so under-appreciated. He is a hurtbox shifting fiend. Same exact thing for Snake's pancake crouch (during which he can still move by the way), except he obviously can't really move around as well as Joker can during his dash. If you watch Ken, all he does in neutral is back air. When I saw abadango was playing MK this tournament, I had a strong feeling he would beat Ken if he played Sephiroth. But I hoped Ken would still play Seph to at least try, and to display the losing matchup. Aba showed how good MK is, honestly. The US has a culture of bandwagoning against characters and never giving them a chance. Like yeah MK has flaws, but so does Seph, yet people play Seph and not MK? Super happy Aba did so well with MK. Now I'd enjoy seeing greninja do well.

Nah I think he wins it tbh. Range and killpower completely outclasses MK’s. MK has to commit much harder. Aba just adapted and outplayed Ken.
