I was a young Marine in 1976, was involved in a mission to pick up Walter Ritte and other activists. There's unexploded ordinances on the island. There was a controversy with the contractor on clean up who got millions but failed to perform. I hope the preservation continues for future generations.

I remember when I moved to Hawaii in 1968 I found out what the Navy was doing to the island. I couldn't believe it and knew they were ruining it. Mahalo for your work.🤙

I care for this island. I care for the kanaka's kuleana and malama of Kaho'olawe. This is a very much needed focus even during these fires. Me ke aloha Maui creator bless Kaho'olawe
