It's a double action gun only with a double action trigger that feels like a well tuned revolver that's had some Smith work done, very nice. Khar is actually owned by magnum research who everyone knows makes desert eagles which are amazing fit an finish, same goes for all the khars.

Hit It From The Bank it is hard for me to describe this trigger but you do an awesome job of explaining it! Thanks!

After fatting the grip ,it shoots well. Accurate as you are. I dont like the single stack mags & i do not like the fram build it does fell cheap when broken down however when assembled it does not fell cheap or poorly made , & has crazy ass heavy spring ! Overall im not disappointed especially given price ,& points awesome

I agree all across the board on what you said. Assembly on this one has always been a pain after cleaning.

Nice review, Travis. I actually like the Kahr sight setup better than the other more common 3 dot sights. I have a few of the Clinger holsters. How was the fit on the ones you got? I had to tweak all of mine with a heat gun. In fact, the one I got for my SD9VE was so tight that even with the adjustment screw removed it would rack the slide when holstering the gun. Aside from that, they are well made and have been very durable.
@travisp11
@travisp11 7 лет назад
Daniel Pfeiffer mine have always been fine. I adjust the tension on the rubber washers and screws for retention but the overall fit was fine on my other pistols that used them.

Thanks, I was just curious. Another to check out is an ebay seller frontlineholsters. The quality is similar to Clinger. I ordered one for my P320 and my Shield. They were under $30 each and shipped within a day or two.
@travisp11

Daniel Pfeiffer I will definitely check out front line Holsters as they are much cheaper than Clinger. If the quality is close I will consider them. I love clinger but a 5-6 week wait time sucks.

I think it's very common for right-handed shooter's to shoot a little left and Leftys to shoot a little right

Scott Pochini I blame it on my trigger pull but yeah, I've noticed that, too!

Another great and informative video kahr makes great guns carried one for quite a while until switching to a revolver. Will the sd9ve be replacing this for a winter carry?

Love mine. Cut grip to cw9 size and totally changed feel of gun. Only downside of gun is the magazines too expensive and only promag for aftermarket option. I have A cpx2 It has had some issues like broke firing pin and recoil assembly retainer too front pin kept walking out but still shoots well.

Call SCCY and have them send you a new slide. I ended up having to get that done when my extractor wore out.

I want a thumb safety. HOWEVER, I thought for awhile and asked myself "why," my revolvers don't have a safety. My reasoning is reholstering a garment may get snagged. But, I noticed when I holster my PT111 g2 my fingers cover ghe trigger guard so with the trigger pull being what it is I'm okay without one on this pistol.
@travisp11
@travisp11 6 лет назад
Walter Miner if you are careful and watch your trigger finger, reholster should be safe. You always need to be extra careful, however on a pistol like the CT9 when reholstering between 3 and 6 o'clock.

travisp11 Whdn I started carrying in the very early 70's I carried a S&W 5 Shot Revolver, then a Spanish Star 9mm. I've always carried "Locked & Loaded", without any concern. We had better quality firearms be manufactured then since so many gun were hand fit. With that being said, today people want "hair triggers" where as I'm accustomed to the weight of a revolver trigger. If the trigger is 6 lbs. or so with decent smooth take-up I'm good without a safety. I carry between 3:00 and 5:00. Like you depending on how long I'm driving and other activities. I carry spare mags and I will continue to do so with this pistol. My question is this. You have been around firearms and know your stuff! I'm looking for a pistol that will have longevity, (not firing 5,000 rounds a week), but a couple trips to the range a month. I'm kinda' done with carrying a heavy 1911. I like .45 a.c.p. and 9mm so this pistol line with their "economy" series fits the bill. Gotta' tell ya' I talk with guys my age mid-sixties, for the most part they are tired of pulling their draws up or wearing suspenders to carry the 1911! Lol. So most being Vets or L.E. acutally carrying the PT111 or other compacts. Shooting to most of us is just plain instintive. After 40+ years I would hope we have learned something? However, myself and others enjoy some young guys You-Tube channels that are informative such as yours! You, especially, do a great job! Thank-you Sir!

I've always been curious about the Kahr pistols. They look nice, but I've never had the opportunity to shoot one. They're kind of an outlier with the bar dot sights, no trigger safety like on a Glock/M&P/etc, and I think they made a pocket 45 before the XD and Shield. Anyway, nice video.
@travisp11
@travisp11 7 лет назад
Affordable Armory Thanks for watching. The CT9 just runs and while it doesn't have any unique design feature is it relatively affordable and has a design that allows for a good purchase/grip on it.

These caught my eye, searched on here and you had some vids, awesome. Do you know if these are p+ rated? Although i haven't held one, the grip looks a little thin. Grip is also a little long for me, but I think it would be fun to use at the range. Esp for the price. Really good look to it. I'm also interested in the new updated ST9.

Nate2099 I will need to check the manual to see the +p rating. As for the grip, it is a bit over one inch thick.

Not loading the first round if it's not loaded correctly is not a limitation
@travisp11
@travisp11 6 лет назад
sycamorebacker1 No but it is the only pistol that I own which points out in the manual that is must be loaded by pressing the slide stop. I tend to top charge or top release my slides on my semi autos, that is how I practice and train so not being able to do so is a minor annoyance.

3rd to show my love for this channel. Travisp11 are you allowed to carry on campus?
@travisp11
@travisp11 7 лет назад
madsexymanofthenight The high school where I teach does not allow open or conceal carry by the teachers. We do have an armed police officer that is in our building the entire day so that gives me a little peace of mind but if the district would train me and allow me to CC during the school day, I would.

@@travisp11 sorry I was kind of thinking outloud via comments, some guy offered to trade me one for my XD 40 subcompact, it just seems too big to not be a double stack and I really like mounting a flashlight or At least having the option I've only heard great things about kahr so I was a bit surprised to see this.. reminds me of a 1911 or a ban era earlier polymer design

@@BOB-wx3fq Dude, it's all good. I reply to just about everyone one the channel. I like the Kahr because I can get a solid two hand grip on it and can easily manipulate it with gloves. Yeah, they have a large footprint but I am a bigger dude so I prefer a thinner carry. The overall size doesn't bother me much. Thanks for watching!
