Good stuff! Surfed this spot a few times circa February 1990. One time I was paddling back out after a wave when everyone started paddling back in. Apparently there was a rather large Tiger Shark patrolling the lineup. Localism ;)
I see what you mean about the "Slabs"...Wow, like miniature West Australia...Hats off to the groms getting great experience points and to the adults that logged some tube time. Nice video! I usually shoot the other side of the point, over at Ledges...It got good this swell, but this was definitely a better tube machine...Again, great video!!!
Being able to takeoff on the white wash, fade, get your feet planted then stall and get shacked. Woo wee brother. I’ve been fortunate enough to be born and raised where we have a spot similar to your harbor. The only condition we have is the tide has to be a 6.5 or higher. If not you get rolled not only onto the cement blocks underneath but all the barnacles attached to them. Much Aloha from Ocean Beach San Diego
