You just have to see his "Film: Kai" next as it was released 3 days prior to this MV. The film consists of snippets of all songs in his first solo album. It's just a piece of pure visual and aesthetic art! You noticed that his MV has extraordinary special effects: Kai put his own money into his debut to up the budget given by the label. He's a perfectionist and all he produces should have heavenly level of execution, no joke. He's Gucci Global ambassador, the first from Korea, because of his incredible sense of style and ability to pull off anything, fashion is very important to him. He's on the list of 10 most influential stars in fashion globally. You saw so many outfit changes. Gucci give a lot to their boy, in the Film you'll see the whole shebang! His first album is only 17 min but it's Grammy worth from start to finish. Kai puts his hand on the lyrics and can change the initial lyrics quite a bit if he doubts something, the language he uses in interviews is always poetic and reflects deep thought.
I totally agree that this is a grammy worth, our Kai is ART. Even though this is not the best album vocally and even though he is not my ultimate bias - I would still say that this is the best solo among EXO members that already have solo. I maybe a new fan but glad I was able to listen to EXO.
KAI just came back from KPopFlex in Frankfurt, Germany where he literally took the whole stadium down! He was absolutely mesmerizing and had everyone on the palm of his hand. He's truly a world class act!
Right! He actually became a headliner. They had to put his performance on the second day too, because so many people wanted to see him. And they gave him the longest time to perform at the very end of each day. That's respect on all levels. Tickets were sold out in a matter of minutes. I saw people from all over the world had come just for Kai. He's the main act anywhere he goes.

It was such a big surprise, a gift❤ Info: 1) Kai's the main dancer in EXO and voted for several years straight as the best dancer in kpop by most prominent kpop artists, 2) is crowned as The Idol of Idols as he's the role model for many of them, he's praised for his unmatched stage presence and dance ability (he's trained in ballet and jazz dance since childhood, but actually he can do any style, but the perfect technique in any style is due to the classical training), 3) his second title is Face Expression King as he goes from sweet boy Jongin (his real name) to beast on stage Kai in a split second., 4) his third title - Voice Color King, as he's a baritone which is rare for kpop in general, but Kai's tone is so unique you can't miss it, a lot of vocal coaches name him the favorite voice because of the tone. His often called King Kai and Kai is Art because of his unmatched artistry.

kai for now only has two solo albums, and 2 official mv, mmmh and peaches (which was released on 11/30/21) he also has a very good summary mv of his 1st solo album titled "film kai". other EXO soloists: Lay (more recommended the "lit" video) with several albums and mini albums, Chen with 2 solo albums, also several ots, singles and collaborations (recommended beautiful goodbye), Baekhyun with 4 minis albums (recommended his last mv "Bambi"), Suho with 2 mini albums, who already reacted to his last mv gray suit and the last soloist with 1 single album to date D.O. Dance practices to Mmmh, Reason (first album) and Peaches are a must 😅 also, EXO dance practices are another genre of their MVs, some songs never got an MV, so a dance practice can reach 140 mil views easily. Highly recommend to open this kind of content 🤞

Please watch Film: KAI and his Studio Choom performance of Mmmh to appreciate his creative process and the choreography of this song respectively. It's absolutely mind blowing. This song was a revelation in itself and it's covered by Junior k-pop artists to this day despite it being more than 1.5years old. That's the impact the artist KAI has. To understand what is happening in Kai's "Mmmh" MV, you have to first understand EXO's storyline and concept. As a member of an SM group, it shouldn't be a surprise that Kai is such a great singer and performer. As you are discovering, you can't be an SM artist without having amazing vocals and dance skills. All of SM's artists were first chosen for their visuals, vocals and/or dance skills, and even the rappers get intense training as vocalists. That is why SM is one of the largest and most influential entertainment companies in Korea and around the world, which is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. And EXO is a group that is a perfect example of that. Everything EXO is involved in, and I literally mean almost everything, is connected in someway to their concept and storyline. EXO's MVs are kind of like a movie -- it's a movie that has been going on for the past 10 years -- since predebut -- and it has no sign of coming to an end any time soon. The one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including their sub-sub-unit MVs and a majority of the member's solo MVs. And because Baekhyun and Kai are involved, even SuperM's storyline -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with superpowers on a mission to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one if not all of them using their powers. So, each new MV or project from EXO tells another part of the story, and over the years, we fans have started to create a timeline and idea of what we think each part of the story is telling us. Kai's EXO superpower is teleportation, so what you see throughout his "Mmmh" MV is him teleporting. For example, why you see Kai move a fraction of a frame in the scene when his backup dancers "disappeared," is because they didn't disappear. Kai was the one that moved when he teleported from another time or place at that moment. In other words, he was a fraction of a second off on purpose to show that he was the one moving as he teleported, not the dancers. With what I know about EXO's storyline, nothing is ever random, and even the most minute of details have been designed to give clues and hints within EXO's story. So, even the subtle little details that you might overlook -- such as placing Kai in that shot a fraction of a second off -- could actually be done intentionally. And, I think, at the very end scene, what you are seeing is SM connecting Kai's solo storyline to EXO's storyline. You see D.O.'s power of earth (dirt) which gives him super strength/force and Xiumin's power to control snow/ice/frost being used. You also see what I think is the emergence of a pyramid, which represents Kai and his superpower -- as part of EXOs storyline, all the members have a symbol that represents them. A pyramid is Kai's symbol and when you see a pyramid within EXO's storyline it represents something to do with Kai. I also find it interesting that Xiumin returned from the military about a month before this MV was released, and D.O. just returned from the military shortly after its release, so the end scene in "Mmmh" may be SM's way of connecting the events of this MV to D.O.'s and Xiumin's future solo work as well. If you analyse all the scenes within Kai's MV you would find connections can be made to EXO's storyline and things to do with past EXO MVs and probably even future MVs, as well as SuperM's storyline. Kai is also a member of SuperM, which is the industry's very first Supergroup. SuperM's concept is that they are "The Avengers of Kpop," and the members are supposed to be superhero-like characters who are coming together to form an Avengers-like group to help EXO defeat the evil Red Force. And, like the majority of SM's groups, all of their storylines and concepts intertwin and connect. For example, in SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, you see Kai being chased by or being aided by drones as he tried to scale a building, in his attempt to stop the Red Force. So, I think the scene in "Mmmh," where you see him looking at the drones hovering around him, has something to do with connections between Kai's solo storyline and SuperM/EXO's MVs. Also, Kai means opening, as in a door or gateway, so as a member of EXO, Kim JongIn (Kai) was given the stage name Kai because, as the center of the group, he is supposed to be the member who connects everyone together and that is why he was given the ability to teleport. Plus, as part of EXO's storyline, it is thought that the members are traveling between dimensions and time periods throughout history in their quest to find the Tree of Life and to fix all the evil and corruption that is thought to be caused by the Red Force. So, it is thought that what you see in Kai's MV is him traveling between dimensions and across time periods in his search. That is why you see him in so many different locations and scenes in this MV. There is also a fan theory that the reason why we see Kai with so many different looks and styles in these scenes is because it's not always Kai that we are seeing. Another part of EXO's storyline is that some of the members have evil alter ego clones that have been created by the Red Force. (As we see introduced in EXO's "Obsession" MV.) So, some theories think that sometimes we are seeing Kai's evil X-EXO clone and other times we are seeing superhero, good EXO Kai. And that eye we see in this MV, although I am not sure what it means yet, I think it's connected to the eye we see in other SM MVs, such as Lay's solo "Namanana" MV and aespa's "Savage" MV, and maybe even the eye symbol and closeup of the dragon's eye in Lay's solo "Lit" MV. (Lay is the Chinese member of EXO.) The eyes all look slightly different, but I think they are supposed to be a symbol that connects something within the larger storyline of SM's SM Culture Universe. (Everything SM does is part of one giant storyline like a huge graphic novel or mystery movie series.) All of the EXO members first solo songs have something to do with the fact that they are members of EXO, and their MVs and songs show them using their powers. D.O.'s MV for his solo debut song "Rose" shows him using his power of force, Baekhyun's debut album City Lights and MV "UN Village" talks about his power to control light, Suho's "Let's Love" MV shows him with his power to control water, and Kai teleports all over in his "Mmmh" MV. As the first EXO member to have a solo career, the majority of Lay's solo MVs tie into EXO's storyline as well. Even in their solo work, everything EXO does is connected to their concept and storyline as members of EXO. :D Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order. So, we fans have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members of EXO/SuperM are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline. And the story isn't just limited to their MVs, but it extends to everything EXO is involved in, including teaser videos, live performances, concert VCRs and even a majority of their choreography. As you can see, EXO's and SM's Universe is extremely complicated and complex, and even the most expert of fans, has trouble following the storyline. The thing is, none of us really know exactly what is happening in the story, it's all just fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed or denied any of our theories and they have left it completely up to fans to figure out what is happening and to create the story. (We only hope that someday SM will release the book or produce a movie that will explain the whole story, so we will know whether any part of our theories were correct.) If you like Kai's dancing you have to check out his dance practice video for "Mmmh." You are going to be even more blown away when you see the full choreography. As the main dancer of EXO, Kai is literally one of the top two best dancers in Kpop. And that's not just a fan's opinion, but it's a title given to him by his peers and the the industry as a whole. (Taemin from SHINee -- who happens to be Kai's best friend since trainee days, and is a fellow member of SuperM -- is the other top dancer.) There is literally no one better when it comes to dance than Kai and Taemin. Kai's love for dance started with jazz and ballet. From a young age, he began training to become a ballet dancer. So he learned form and technique first before any other style of dance. That's why I think you can see such precision in his dancing. As a child, he fell in love with dancing after seeing the Nutcracker and he told his parents that he wanted to do that. So, his whole foundation with dance began with ballet. He says, that if he hadn't been bribed by his father to audition for SM Entertainment, and if he hadn't become a Kpop star, he probably would be a professional ballarino today. Kai became a trainee with SM when he was about 12 -- he debuted as a member of EXO when he was around 18 -- so he has been honing his skills and dedicating himself to become one of the best in the industry for years. And now, at 28, he has literally been recognized as one of the best of the best. Kai is a fashion icon and he is highly sought after by some of he biggest names and brands in fashion to be their model and brand ambassador, etc. He is also considered one of the sexiest Kpop idols, and he is known for his super sexy onstage personality. However, when not on stage he is the complete opposite of what you see here. He is actually kind of shy and innocent and he blushes when you compliment him for his looks or his performance.

Kai released a second mini album 'Peaches' since then, it's totally different from the first album 'Kai' but just as good (beautiful lyrics, combines modern sound with traditional, gives a bigger range of Kai's vocals). Kai is a trendsetter and a legend. All EXO members are just on another level, each has their own colors and facets, each contributes so much to the group as a whole. They're all outstanding and are in the Hall of Fame already, believe me. The more facts you know about them, the more respect and love you'll have for them. EXO-Ls - are people with sophisticated taste and good ear for music, we chose EXO for many good reasons and will support them through thick and thin.
I totally agree...before I became an Eri I actually listened to 'Love Shot', it's so catchy, trendy and really has an iconic choreo but that didn't make me a fan until the live stage of 'Sabor A Mi" - it really hits me how good and how beautiful their voices are and so I started listening to their music and G ! Yes! Kai's my ult, but Baekhyunnie is just... His vocals make me so emotional, his command of the vocals is just one of a kind. All his solo albums are pure gold, he's the most skillful vocalist for me, an all-rounder.
