Kai debuted as a lead rapper and vocal, but since EXO is a vocal heavy group and Sehun became also part of the main rapper line, Kai started to sing more and became part of the lead vocal line. He even covered D.O's parts in their concert. Those 'Introductions' just copy and post old or wrong data from websites, without realising knowing anything about EXO
I am kyungsoo baised that is basically a main vocalist. Kyungsoo once said that he wishes that kai gets his chance to singing in an album and said that kai has honey vocals.. I just couldn't agree more.. Kai has some honey warm vocals that you can listen to in a rainy day.. I really love his voice and i am praying for a collab that has both kai and kyungsoo 'cause this would be the most soothing warm lovely magnificent perfect thing that will happen on earth!! For me Kai is a full package, I really really really like him as an artist. He is good in acting, dancing is his art and passion, singing is his talent he has a very sexy voice, a very good attitude on stage and he is very nice to his fans a good down to earth person. He has a good sense of humor, I like his very out loud laugh and he is very loving to his family. He is a full package for me. Kim Jongin is my Kailove❤

Thank you for this! I remember when the History MV got released and that very first line that KAI sings shook me to the core. He was always shown dancing so I was shocked to hear that his singing voice was LIKE THAT. Hearing him talk for the first time was shocking too cause it was a low, deep, soothing tone. He may not be a main vocal but his vocal color/tone is literally my favorite. Every time an EXO album comes out, it would always be his parts that catches my attention. And then there are those who may not be familiar with his voice that confuses it to be from one of the main vocals. Huhu. Now that he’s gonna release his first solo album, I am so excited to hear songs with only his honey vocals!! Singing or rapping or whatever!! I’ll bask in all the glory of KAI’s vocals!!
Yeah kai is my bias (since some weeks ago) and sometimes i get confused about who is singing in some exo songs, but his voice is, for me, so deep and relaxing. I think kai deserves more than what sm has done for him (more screentime in superm, etc)
Same with me; the first time I heard his first line in History way back! Never would I ever thought it came from their main dancer! He always had this beautiful tone in his voice that is so distinct that it always caught my attention as well! Ever since then, I’m always looking forward to his solo that showcase his vocal range!
Seeing this makes me realize even more that we haven’t get to see Kai’s full on singing capabilities. He has so much more to show. The fact he went on from rapper to become lead vocalist along the year just makes me so proud of him. In a matter of time,finally there will be song,album even filled with just his warm honey voice. 2019 was sad for us exols because of members enlisting but the only thing that made me happy was that Kai got to sing more lines.. We deserve to hear his pretty voice
Kai has such an appealing voice, it's not top tier but I always love hearing his parts. His voice would fit so well with songs like, 'Photograph' by Ed Sheeran, 'As It Was' by Harry Styles, 'Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi. I hope he does covers just to hear his version.
