@@TerrenceJr the point guard bro is Yuki Kawamura he will sign a exibit ten contract to memphis. He is also a member of Japan National Team, that dude can really play like a true point guard
Asian bodies will fully developed at age 24-35yo. Kai still 22 and now starting to Bulk up and getting stronger. He will be dominating Asia in the next 10yrs.
To let you know Filipino players spreading around a globe nowadays as an import most of them here in Asia B.League in Japan KBL in Korea P.League in Taiwan NBL in Australia Asian Tournament in Asia And recently Thirdy Ravena sign contract in Dubai club team playing in one of Euro League ABA League While PBA(Philippine Basketball Association) is the last option of great Filipino players thats sad but thats the reality
There are 7 successive games I think that Kai recorded a double2x stats. His last season on b.league is amazing. he got always double double. Thank you very muchh for the reaction video bruhh, I've seen this after My work earlier and it became my y stress reliever lol
Kai got a personal trainer. He got physically stronger and it seemed like he upped his game 400%. His father is also now his skills coach. I think it works for him. Plus, he got paired with japan's best point guard, yuki kawamura, in yokohama.
Nick fazekas no. 22 an import from b league was playing with kai's dad in the Philippines, now he's playing against his son Kai 😂 u can find it on utube
that pointguard that feed kai sotto inside the paint si. Yuki Kawamura . he is part of national team of japan.. they almost upset france in olympics basketball.. he carry his team until over time
Kai is doing great, you can obviously tell a hater and a fan comments, just base everything on what you see/watch ^^ that would be all, And the PG is a good player also
kai is only averaging 20mins a game and spent a lot in the bench in the first half of the season due to back injury. But 2nd half of the season he's averaging 18-10-3 in 25 mins
japanese & south korean basketball is more of a SYSTEM BASED basketball ... philippines on the other hand is more of an INDIVIDUAL TYPE basketball .. 1on1, thats how filipinos play! 5on5 thats how east asians play! ... 1on1? whatever east asian country your in, you cant beat a filipino ... just sayin'
Point guard is Yuki Kawamura, 5’9. Has recently signed an exhibit 10 contract with an NBA team. He’s good when he’s focused on distributing the ball but he also has that tendency to ball hog and take like 27 FGA in one game. Kai had a very slow start because he was nursing a herniated lumbar disc. He actually missed games at the start of the season. He finished the season strong tho and had his most efficient seaon as a pro (24.12 Player Efficiency Rating which is team best, 10th in the league). Pretty tough league with teams having 4-5 imports each. A lot of former NB and euro league players
13:28 maybe you don't know that Point Guard and you saying easy steal lol hahaha that boy not only in passing he averaging 20ppg bro better watch him too :) if you are going to watch him I'll just maybe the latest one againts France with victor wembanyama Rudy Gobert etc.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly about him being too good for the league. He should be in a better league if he wants to attract attention from the NBA. Come back to the NBL!
That Point Guard is Yuki Kawamura and i can say that you are wrong with "he's not looking to score" HAHAHA because he is a great scorer as well. He just cooked the whole French team in the Olympics last night. He is 5'8" btw
Ok so I'll explain. 😂 Basically this was Kai's rookie season in the B League and we don't see his Hiroshima Dragonflies highlights. Also not in the video are his defensive and passing highlights. In Hiroshima, Kai was playing hurt. So his numbers dwindled after a fire start, then got into rehab for the 1st to 2nd half of the season. Then after getting rented by the Yokohama Pirates, he took some games to acclimate back and suddenly exploded for like 18 pts 9 reb per game. Kai's greatest weakness is his attitude. Basically if he doesn't start off well, he goes into a slump and doesn't recover. If he starts good, he's a world beater who can make clutch baskets. 😂
That's why you basically see him not demand the ball and not being given attention by the defense, because the other foreign imports wanna get theirs regardless. As for the PG, he's on the national team and just scored 29 pts against France. He's also got an Exhibit 10 for the Grizz. Ngl Japanese coaching is now leagues ahead in Asia. This was the same dude Romeo manhandled during the Jones Cup. 😂 I still think Kai's on the same level as those dudes. They were the same team Kai beat during the U17.
Kai sotto really improved from playing in the NBL. Also, as an asian his body starting to mature thats why he is getting a bit stronger. He is still the same dude that will find the right play.
The PG was Yuki Kawamura, he is 5'6" I think and he is really good, he is also playing for the Japan national team right now at the Olympics, I If I not mistaken he was offered an exhibit 10 day contract by Memphis, he is on NBA scout radar quite in a while now.
T, that's where your wrong tho, Kawamura is an MVP of B.League and has a elite scoring or shooting ability alongside his amazing court vision and Kai benefited from that and got to evolve his game, stats doesn't really tell the whole story about Kai tho, he average less minutes than he should cuz of fouls and that fouls aren't even really fouls compare to other players doing on him when he's on the court and Kai also tallied multiple games with 20+ pts and 10+ reb and had a series of games where he finished with a double double despite being the 3rd or 4th option on the team. Kawamura is really like that tho and gave France a run for their money on their recent game in the Olympics. I hope this help and thank God you're back cuz we miss videos like this.
Actually, the point guard's name is Yuki Kawamura. He is a member of the Japanese National Team who is now competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics. By the way, Kawamura has just been offered a 10-day contract by the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA.
You didn't miss much of Kai just 'coz he only became this good about 5-6 months ago and was practically the same player before that whether it was riding the bench in Australia, his first year in Japan, and even his NBA Summer League games. It also helped that his team had a good scoring PG in Kawamura that allowed defenses to sag off for Kai to create offense. *edit on Kawamura, it's not that the highlights make Kai look good, but in the B.League last year, Kawamura was a walking bucket (dropped 29 on Wemby in the Olympics) and Kai had so much time on the ball because defenses were more focused on him than Kai that all he had to do was find him in the paint. He just signed with the Grizzlies on a one-year minimum deal.
Yo T, he was traded mid season. Before being traded to YOKOHAMA B-CORSAIR, he has limited role but there chemistry with YUKI KAWAMURA , the Pg of bcor is a thing of beauty, he made Kai beast. You should also check out the Olympic Qualifying Tournament where they beat Latvia with Davis Bertans who's a veteran nba player, they also almost beat Georgia, they just only lost 2 points but quality for QF before losing to power house Brazil.
Kai Sotto cannot score by himself unlike Junmar Fajardo which have smooth touch in the perimiter and can muscle his way in the post. We should remember that these are Ex-NBA players which are cheaper and past their prime. Or NBA players undrafted because they are not good enough. In Australia Kai looks Mediocre because he is playing with 5 import compare to Japan which have 2 import and locals having average height of 6-0. Japanese are small compare to Chinese and even Australian. kai play in Australian League. He battle against 5 import. Australian league average height is 6-6 to 6-8.
What are you talking about he hardly had received passes in Australia but still scored on his own skill and at the Gilas Chot Reyes team he wasn't even given a play its focus only on Jordan Clarkson one on one yet Kai scores at the FIba
Men, Yowwww you're back, It's nice to see you again I missed you men, Even without knowing eachother, I'm m watching you sincr first day on my old acc. Seesh finally. You're back.
Kawamura the point guard is only 5'8 and now has a 10 day exb contract for Memphis Grizzlies. Can't wait for Kai to get his opportunity as well just give him a little bit more time to flourish and be more strong
that PG just got signed by the memphis grizzlies just recently .. hes arguably the BEST PG IN ASIA rn! and hes playing with KAI SOTTO, probably one of the best CENTER IN ASIA, JUNEMAR TOO was in that same league😅
Their point guard is Yuki Kawamura (5'8) and just recently drop 29pts vs France and Japan almost beat France. As per Kai unfortunately he's not averaging 30 even 20 points mostly he is being sit out due to foul trouble. But we can see he is getting more mature on his game now.
Teams he played gave him limited minutes to avoid muscle burns and injuries. That's the provision in his contracts, some sort of NBA developmental agreements.
It's CTC (Coach Tim Cone) effect. If you happened to watch Kai's first time playing for CTC in Gilas, you'll see how CTC boosted Kai's confidence and unlocked his potential. In the world cup, Kai was barely used. But in CTC system, Kai plays like he was the focal point. And after that, he went back playing in the BLeague and he was so dominant.
Dude! I am so glad you are back! I don't know if you still remember me. Hopefully we can see the "T" that we loved watching when you started. OG T-squad. I am proud to be part of one of your video content before.
Can you make a reaction video of Yuki Kawamura against France in olympics? That's Kai's point guard teammate in B.League. Sadly they lost by 4 points against France because of stupid call by the ref. Obviously a cooking show by France
