I really liked the focus of kai vs Morro because they’re the same character except morro never gave up on being the green ninja and Kai accepted that he isn’t
The fact that Kai went from wanting to be the Green Ninja so badly to now actually protecting the Green Ninja really shows how much he cares for Lloyd.
He went from "wanting to be the green ninja" then being "the best ninja" and now he's just a comic relief character. Don't exactly like how he is just a minor character now. He was originally supposed to be the main character.
In fact, I really like that Lloyd and Kai contrast equally well with Morro. Morro is the personification of pride. He is convinced that he is the strongest and most worthy of warriors. Lloyd is his opposite, the embodiment of humility. He accepts his fate as the Green Ninja, accepts responsibility for the salvation of the world and the fate of his father. Kai, in turn, is a reflection of Morro. He, too, was once obsessed with pride, but, unlike Morro, he overcame it.
I see it differently Morro was driven by pride, he was egotistical, he was naturally gifted and skilful in his element making his ego even worst. Kai was insecure about his role in the team, believing that being the green ninja would fix it, kai being impulsive, hot headed and impatient made it worst. Both characters reflect each other as both were despite to become the green ninja it drove them to be wreckless and dangerous but kai let go of his insecurities and found his true potential but morro couldn't let go he had to prove himself no matter what which ultimately led to his demise.
Thats because kai is the best ninja. Believe me or not. He can go solo anytime. Like he destroyed the ice dragon, destroyed the snakes without his powers and saved everyone else. Kai is my favourite and the second strongest after lloyd but when kai's eyes turned red when he was destroying the ice dragon, that showed that he was green ninja level there. Perhabs stronger, his rage helps, he can embrace the darkside of the force.

@@Oreo_Editz you are correct. Kai was also holding back because he didnt want to hurt lloyds body. If kai killed morrow then it would have killed lloyd
they screwed up kai so bad after season 7! UGHHH! Not only do I hate his new design but I hate his new role in the series hes just a comic relief who occasionally matters but all his character progression was thrown out the window. Pilot Kai is completely different from season 5 kai, and then in season 7 we can see some of his anger from season 1 back but hes progressed as a character. And then they had to ruin everything for him!
We really missed a chance for a really epic Kai vs Morro 1v1. Kai and Morro are direct opposites of the same coin: Morro was obsessed with pursuing his destiny, Kai accepted his role in the destiny.
Morro is more of a kai villian than a lloyd villian. Morro is nothing like lloyd, but everything like kai. Morro is literally what kai would have turned into if he chose the fangblade instead of lloyd. Also Morro stands in the way of kai protecting lloyd. It’s so dumb how they only really got one short fight.

@@Emiturbina well actually he does have 2 more that u didn’t mention. The one on the ship in episode 2 and the one in the temple of cloud city. But all these other fights are not really 1v1s and kai gets destroyed in all of them basically so I only really count this
They gave the fight to lloyd because he and morro contrast each other. Yes morro is what kai would have been if he didnt accept someone else being the green ninja, but that's all you can say about the two. Morro literally possessed and rendered lloyd useless the entire season. Its lloyd morro is jealous of because he is the green ninja and not him. Morro represents envy and hatred, while lloyd represents nobility and justice. And their roles and personalities both stemmed from one thing, the idea of being the green ninja. Tbh this season built up a lloyd vs morro more than it did a kai vs morro.
Season 1, 4, 5 and 7 he definitely has main protagonist aspects. Besides, he was the main character in the two pilot episodes at the beginning of the series.
@@Twongz_does_anything That's what have been shown through ALL THE SERIES. Cole's element give him an physical strength superior to all of his partners. Also I remember in season 3 Lloyd gave their elements to the ninjas, so surely he doesn't have Earth's Physical Strength anymore.
@@denisgalvez789 kais physically stronger and more skilled then lloyd but lloyd has the strongest element. Kai is noticeably more agile then cole and a slightly more skilled fighter but cole is physically stronger. I think kai is overall the best
Listen I get why Morro will have to fight Lloyd since this would be similar to a Tai Lung vs Po fight, but in my opinion it would’ve been better to have more focus on Kai vs Morro since these characters are very similar, both were brought upon by Master Wu and teaching them while in a way promising them greatness, both wanted to be the green ninja so hard they risk their life to show they can be one. They have a similar like personality which is perfect. But the main difference is how they are in different sides, Morro refused to give up on his Dream of becoming the Green Ninja, and Kai probably would be the same if he hadn’t met Lloyd, who showed him in the end that it doesn’t matter since his goal as a Ninja is to protect the innocent that is when he realize the truth. In the end Kai will feel that part of him that wish he was the green ninja that he deserved it more, but unlike Morro, Kai accepted it and work on his duty as the protector of the Green Ninja. These two are great parallels and if I kinda admit deserve one more fight.
and they say kai is the most overrated ninja. dude wanted to be the green ninja more than anyone and when he realized how far his envy took him against garmadon it was after saving his son he realized he was destined to protect the green ninja, which sounds way harder imo. dudes the best ninja its not even close.
Kai realized that there was no training to become a Green Ninja, but Morro was training to be a Green Ninja. The only one to blame is Master Wu. We also see the brotherhood of Kai and Lloyd in this season. He even risked drowning to save him, and that's why Lloyd is the only character who cares about Kai in the new seasons.
I love Possesion but The one i hate is that they don’t have any powers. It just seems lame. I know it’s suppose to make them seem helpless or have the odds stacked against them. But it’s still dumb. But hey, Still doesn’t change it’s a great season.
