Hmm, I think you should look up more models. They all take it seriously. Unless you're on about Kendal, Gigi and Bella era. I think the 2020s, we are focusing on more raw talent, the ones who just have something different and unique especially models coming from Asia. We're on the new age now!

lotus sight then bless this new age, because I’m tired of seeing the same type of beauty represented everywhere. Right now I am obsessed with Hunter Schafer. I like the return of the model as someone interesting to look at rather than someone who’s just conventionally pretty. You can have both for sure (interesting and pretty) but for the past few years a narrow notion of ‘beautiful’ has taken the front row.

sarahRA86 For example, Kendall Jenner is someone you can’t take seriously as a model. She’s super entitled and it shows in her interviews and clips of her having a meltdown saying she doesn’t want to do a shoot or walk. She isn’t a gifted model, which is fine but she seems to put little to no effort in becoming the best she can be. Her editorial isn’t bad but her walking needs serious improvement. Kaia seems like she is very serious about modeling and wanting to improve though she didn’t have to improve much from the beginning. She treats it like a profession, art, and something she takes very seriously unlike Kendall who just comes across as an entitled brat. Thinking she does not need to improve at all and doing the bare minimum. She seems like a lazy model that does it more for the status then has actual passion for it like Kaia.

Even though she is from a completely different modelling generation than her mom, she reminds me of one of the 90s models. Well spoken and poised besides her looks - doing justice to the word model. I feel many models today depend on social media to push their popularity and careers. That is why I like the 90s era. It wasn't about social media at that time.

@@TheEberdz I still don't get it. Its actually a good thing to read books and if they encourage more people to read by showing what books are in their bag so what? Like Kaia Gerber said there's a lot of waiting around so having a book handy probably helps time past faster. I just don't see the problem with it.
