Of only we had more games that used 3d models, i know monster did that in duelist of roses if they win completely against a monster by their first attack and they attacked first, every monster had animations there, im waiting for a sequel
@@sonicgoku24 A remaster would be good enough, of both Duelist of the Roses and Forbidden Memories. Unless I'm mistaken the "chess-like" yugioh game is the sequel to DotR already.
I love that "Wrath of the Gods" is playing while this card is being summoned. The only monster that isn't a god card that has this song playing for it.
@@theonewhoismany8072 In the final season is stated that the spirit of Blue Eyes White Dragon (Kisara) is as strong as the Egyptian Gods and Exodia. Kaiba used Blue Eyes against Zorc and almost worked.
@@theonewhoismany8072 true, I've played a good amount of the card game and for a while (I dunno if has changed) but blue eyes remained the strongest normal card. No card had a higher attack power
Tell me about it!!! Seto Kaiba has been my favorite character (period!) since I was younger, and it was because of him I also became a huge fan of his Japanese voice actor, Kenjirou Tsuda. Why do I mention this? Well…😅 If you got chills from hearing Kaiba pronounce this dragon’s name and its attack, I HIGHLY recommend giving a listen to Tsuda (voicing other characters, or - seriously - even just in real life, like during interviews!!) because to this day he is the only voice that brings chills down my spine. In a good way 😉
Yo, I LOVE DSOD! That movie had such beautiful animation too. Best movie ever to end off an amazing Yu-Gi-Oh series. (Okay, I know there’s 4 new versions of this same anime, but idc about them. Finishing the original series was my only intention the whole time)
Yea no one gives a shit about the new series true yu-gi-oh fans only like 3 yu-gi-oh anime’s 1. Yu-gi-oh season 0 2. Yu-gi-oh duel monsters 3. Yu-gi-oh dsod
Yugioh DM is terrible. No offense but most of the times it's boring and bland and has tons of unnecessary storylines. The best arc are some of the fillers and the best duels are from Kaiba. The new movie is really good, it really is incredible, but it doesn't make the series live for its name. Gx is fun and is really remarkable as well as nostalgic, but it is way too goofy nowadays than it was back in the time. 5ds has a really cool premise, and for once the MC doesn't go around crying when he loses or cheating when the plot needs him to. But the plot doesn't make sense, and it has a problem with giving lots of characters a spotlight. ZExAL is colorful and introduces new mechanics, like new deck and interesting ways of playing. But Yuma is simply unbearable and every frame he shows up you just want his head on a stick. Arc V is an okay season, the plot is interesting and is really cool to see characters summoning different kinds of monsters, but the beginning just makes you burst out of anger with all of that action duel bullcrap where the writers just give in a plot armor to most of the characters."Oops! I activate Dodge! You missed, you buffoon!".
This is why the Japanese sub is the BEST. The OST and did you see how crisp the animation was 😭 so GOOD. Kaiba is the King of Games as well because he embodies the True spirit of dueling and Pride in his Cards.
@@RoyaltonDrummer922 well, 4kids made some changes to the color palettes, making the anime more saturated. Not to mention the change in the cards design as well. I think he meant about the atmosphere/soundtrack/original voices and dialogues that is WAAAAAAY better than 4Kids adaptation.
It's really not. All the voices sound atrocious in Japanese. It's like nails on chalkboard. Y'all always say this argument and I'm like nah gtfoh. Dubbed is better. The comedy is better. The music is 50/50. But I hate subbed. It hurts my ears with all the screaming
Has anyone noticed how blue eyes does the victory pose in the end by opening its wings/arms as if he said “YEAAHHHHHH” in blue eyes language . That was epic
Companies no longer making cel paints by year 2000 and anime studios scan the drawings into digital format before painting them digitally. Back then, cel painting was done by hand, which is time consuming.
Perhaps? Lmao Both jack and kaito Are both replicas of Seto Its at to ask If seto doesn't travel time/dimentsion And then F womans Because Seto sometimes Refer to Blue-Eyes white dragon as *my soul,my pride* Both kaito and jack use this quote many times to describe their dragons The Protagonist that we follow are somewhat original But the Rival or one of the rival isn't He is always a seto kaiba Version
Wannabe Seto Kaiba’s everywhere now? That’s just disgusting. The only Kaiba I like will always be the one and only Seto Kaiba from the original Yu-Gi-Oh series. And I don’t watch the other ones so they have nothing to do with me. My only intention was to finish Duel Monsters and that’s it Edit: I’m actually planning to watch GX now because I just found out it’s a canon series
@@narutoninjagoandtheflashar4256 Maybe if you took off your nostalgia glasses and tried watching the other shows, you’d actually appreciate them, prick.
How often do they do this? I understand "Gods' Anger" is typically associated with the God Cards, but I notice two times in this arc where they play it for Blue Eyes. Do they do that frequently in the Japanese version (would be fitting since Millennium World does confirm Blue Eyes to be a God-Tier monster in Egypt)?
I wouldn't say "frequently", but they like to play it when Blue Eyes is kicking ass because this particular dragon represents godly power, given that it was once used to rival the gods by Priest Seto (and also Yami Bakura when he stole it at the beginning of the last season). It's a bit of foreshadowing for that arc and Seto's motivation to stand as a being of overwhelming power even when he doesn't have a god in his team. Not particularly subtle, but definitely not meant to be!
Kaiba has the coolest fucking duels after Duelist Kingdom. This man really sent a fucking dragon to blow up a satellite, there's nothing quite so hype in Yugi's duels as this. Sacrificing God, the absolute epicenes of his duel with Noah only for the writers to remember that Yugi was main character so Kaiba wasn't allowed to beat him, but at least he didn't lose either, the entire second duel with Alistair and what followed after landing the plane. I'm shocked there isn't an arc or movie with Kaiba as the main character that WINS. I need that so badly right now, Kaiba has aged like the oldest wine in existence. As much as I love Yugi, I really think the series would've been so much better with Kaiba as the main character. Hell, he was badass in the original incarnation. When they finally defeated him Atem sent his ass to hell until he changed and the fucker just went, 'Nope and I'm bringing hell with me now" and went on to create solid holograms to turn Atem's punishment against him.
I've commented this on so many other videos: the reason Kaiba has three of the only four Blue-Eyes White Dragons in the world is because his burning obsession and great wealth led him to snuff them out like a madman. Through his efforts, he tracked down one card in Hong Kong, one in America, and one in Germany. The original owners refused to simply hand over their cards, so Kaiba had to use force. He bought out the owners' company stocks to drive them into bankruptcy and even made deals with the mafia. One way or another all three cards ended up in his hands. One of the owners was actually ruined to the point that they committed suicide.
Kaiba literally destroying the military industrial complex propped up by his father and his goons using the card that’s bound to him since ancient Egypt and ushering in a new era where he rules not with weapons but games. That’s wild lmao
Satellite Cannon only can protect from being destroyed by battle against Level 7 or lower, but it can't protect against Level 8 or higher, since Blue-eyes White Dragon is Level 8, Satellite Cannon get blow up.
"The dream I have for games won't lose against a killing machine!" God the dub absolutely BUTCHERED this show. some people mourn 4kids... but I say good riddance.
It’s a completely different show in the Sub version. Like, the characters and their motivations (specifically Seto and Junoichi) are completely different.
Inexperienced? This isn't Kenjiro Tsuda's first acting role. He was 28 (29 later that year) in 2000 when Duel Monsters started. This episode was in June 2002 just before he turned 31. Kaiba wasn't a minor character either so he had 2 years of experience with the character already. Obviously there's going to be a slight difference from when you were practically 30 to your 40's. The inexperienced person was Shunsuke Kazama who was 17 at the start. You can hear a clear difference in his voice between arcs as he got older.
Flat Earthers: "Unknown wall!?" "They're rubbing it right in our faces!" "I knew it!" (Foams at mouth and passes out like that guy in Avatar: The Last Airbender)
I akways say how much netter Noah's arc was compared to the Oricalchos and Memory arc. Because it is peak YuGiOh animation. The crisp and smooth animation. The dynamic postures. If this was animated in S4 and beyond animation, Kaibas nose and chin would be twice as long, it would be grainy and he would just stand still like a cardbiard cutout
By viewing this scene, I realized that 4Kids edited out the explosion of Leichter's Satellite Cannon (1:37 to 1:45) 4Kids, you censored an explosion that doesn't feature blood and makes the Blue Eyes White Dragon badass.
