When i was a little boy, i spend most of my school holidays and my vacation with Rongmai friends. I love them, they are friendly and they love me too. Meanwhile my father used to told me that the forefathe of we the Mizo's and Rongmai were not too far, and there is lots of similarity in our practice, life style and in our religion. Some other people sad that in our history we found 'Mi-Rong' used to live before we Mizo's invade our land. (But I dont know much about History) So i belive whome our historian mention Mirong people can be this day whome we call Rongmai people. Can it be?
This song ferried me back to the little known Rongmei village in erstwhile Manipur West District, where I was born and raised. The soothing tunes and undiluted lyrics of the song, together with the costumes of the casts undeniably win the hearts of the viewers and listeners. Need more of this type of production from our Rongmei geniuses. I miss my old village, its memories and everything belong there.
