One of my favorite part of the Maidcore genre is that so many songs feel almost personal in the way they are put together. Not exactly sure how to describe it, but either way it's a banger of an album for sure. the layering on Revachol was god tier.
Apocrypha - Hella strong start for the album! Not gonna be original, but I also loved how snares in the background provide a structured undertone to the cymballs/electronic mayhem Revachol - reminds me of Linkin Park. And I like Linkin Park. Their songs kinda give off strange vibe of melancholy bound in determination. I also wonder, if the name itself related purely to Disco Elysium, with how it tone matches the game, or goes down to its revolutionary routes. Rhabdomyolysis - Da-a-amn! The starting bass really sets the mood for something from late 00's! And with a bit of electronic tones and finishing bass, that really brings vibes of hip-hop concerts, I can vividly see the crowd getting pumped up! Ponedel'nichnaya metel' unosit menya proch' - beginning brought me some oriental vibes, so even as melody progressed, all I heard is BTS. Which, I know, depending on a person, might be considered an insult, just like with Linkin Park, but I, personally, don't have any problems with BTS. The song itself seems to get a bit reserved and sappy in the middle, begging for some korean idol boy to start lamenting about love, so, perhaps, it's not just me. illusion - at first I thought this is just a good song woth some "bwa-a-au-u-ughs" in the backgrounds for added atmosphere, then I noticed, how some sections are repeating and mirroring each other. It's kinda like a kaleidoscope for ears. Does that makes sense? Well, it does now. In the Woods - title immediately made me think of "Night in The Woods", and, honestly, that game's surrealistic, yet grounded atmosphere is a pretty good match for maidcore. I think this songs could be in OST, during one of the dream sequences or finale, and it wouldn't feel out of place. Bloody Scissors - again, name immediately made me think of Touhou, but this time I feel like my assumption to the title was wrong. Pretty short song, especially compared to some others in the album, yet it has such unique unrelenting rythm. I thought this might be some sort of Touhou madness, with scissors basically being a pair of knives, but with such surgically precise rythm it makes me think of mad scientist in the middle of yet another abhorrent operation, bloody scissors routinely ripping flesh open. Wow. Strong song, me likey. Crawling Along the Curb - o-ho-ho, we finishing it same way as we started, with some mean snares and stellar cymbals! Considering name of the album, and swelling ending of the song with kinda abrupt finish, I wonder if it's supposed to be listened on the loop? Kairi is really good, I'm not sure how else to say that without being pretentious. Maidcore is prospering with musicians like this.

Siempre teniendo unos cuantos compases con una melodía triste o tranquila, y recalcando la melodía principal con unos compases alegres o desesperados; un recurso muy utilizado entre las maids, claro, si se simplifica se ve como algo muy repetitivo, pero este no es el caso, este recurso propone la melodía principal de una forma diferente, y esto puede ser dinámico... en este caso, asi fue. La melodía de Rhandomyolysis parece de una canción de trap o Math metal, me encantó. Y el recurso que se utilizó para la guitarra de ponedel quedó de una forma muy comprimida, recortando los bajos. Supondría que las canciones que más destacaron de este álbum fueron la de Revachol, Rhandomyolysis, y ponedel 'nichnaya metel'. En una simplificacion; es pura mierda de la buena 🔥
