Actually, there is no specific path to follow in CP, each one has his own method that is convenient for him. But, I can actually recommand you to alternate between working on topics in order to gain knowledge (you can follow the Arabic competitive programming roadmap sheet or USACO guide website) and also to solve challenging random problems in order to improve your intuition.
