I was having to sit through the film ,as my father was watching it (couldn't ask him to flip the channel), and gradually I started getting intrigued by the story. Every time I watch it,I can't help dissolving into tears 😢 .

Aamir Khan is something else, isn't he? Such an amazing and soulful actor! I listen to this song, when I feel agitated, impatient etc. It has a philosophical calming effect which makes me realize that destiny can do unexpected things in our lives and can completely change the timeline. In another timeline, this horrible circumstance didn't happen to these two wonderful people in the movie. And she married him and then found out how rich he was and they went on in life to do more good for humanity.
Back in college when I fell crazily for this girl in my class, this was the song which I sent her and that marked the beginning of my feelings, which eventually grew over the time for her...unfortunately she never reciprocated my feelings and obviously friend-zoned me later, took me a lot of time to recover from her and during that period I couldn't bear to listen to this song anymore as it always reminded me of her!! It's been more than 4 years now and I have completely forgotten her and now when I listen to this song, her memory no longer crosses my mind. So basically, this song marked the beginning of my first love ever and also the end of my feelings, with me moving on from her...forever. Can't express the value this song holds for me!! What an excellent masterpiece of a film. This song really shows the start of a new journey in their life. It played when Sanjay saw Kalpana for the last time, unaware of the fact how drastically their lives will change and again when he was thinking about her at the end of the movie and began a new phase of his life. These small details really took this movie to the next level.
While the Tamil version of Ghajini was more like a typical movie album songs with usual bgms, the Hindi version had a soundtrack that can wreck your heart and mind for ages. This song and BGM (during Kalpana's death) had me traumatized for quite sometime. A.R.Rahman is A.R.Rahman. No one can do a total musical shift like this like him.

I remember getting so emotional with most people in the theatre as well when the ending scene of Ghajini (Hindi Version) came and Sanjay (Aamir’s character) remembers and imagines Asin’s character holding his hand sitting beside him and that goddamn emotional ‘badlengi rituey adaa aur main rahungi sadda iss tarah tere haathon mei haath dalke har lamha har pal’.. man that sobbed everyone’s eyes in the theatres including mine. 😔♥️

Movie released 6 7 years ago but still I get tears in my eyes whenever I listen to any song from the movie. This movie is something else man. Everything in this movie was perfect. The songs, the actors, the story. Aamir and Asin nailed it. I wish kalpana knew that he is Sanjay Singhania.
