That’s what’s funny to me, I am studying to be a veterinarian and have a biology major, the time they discussed biological sex my professor specifically said “sex is not binary, some experts believe there are more than two natural sexes humans can be born as, but the research is not thorough as of now. Gender is not the same as sex, it is not a scientific trait, therefore it is not necessarily classified by the same things as sex, it can be many things to many people. Overall, sex is more objective, gender is more subjective.” When we discussed sex in animals during one of my veterinary classes, this professor said, “biological sex is typically binary in the animals you would see in clinics, but in rare instances it deviates from that. There are some occasions when animals can be born with traits from both sexes, called hermaphroditism.” It is not simple in the slightest. Biology is incredible and diverse. Everyone always says “the world isn’t black and white” so why would it be black and white when it comes to biological sex? Or gender?

Real talk? I was raised by a single mom so she's pretty firmly both mom and dad to my sister and me. This is such a reality for us, my mom walked my sister down the aisle at her wedding. Not the piece of shit that helped make us (word to the guy that said sperm donor, that's what we call him lol), not our stepdad, our mother. Gender roles are bullshit in a family setting and the only thing that matters in a family is love and care for each other.
My dad is both my mom’s job and his job so I agree. The feminine role in society however, is to be a mother. My 83 year old father, a retired Air Force officer, is more woke than Bennet. He understands gender fluidity than I do. He’s the one who told me that sex is binary, but gender is not. I thought I’d have to explain it to him. To be fair, he’s very intellectual and reads a lot more than I do about these matters. My uncle is gay and was married a few years ago so there was never any confusion in our house about the normality of being gay. Just like my brother and I were adopted they raised us knowing how we came to them but that it was no different than being born into a family. In Germany Father's Day isn't about family ironically. Unlike Mother's Day. Dads/potential Dads/dudes in general meet up and walk from village to village getting drunk. Even young women/teens participate (drinking beer and wine is 16+ in Germany). Mother's Day is about spending time with your Mom and spoiling her for a day. That's also why Mother's Day is always on a Sunday as Sunday is considered a day you spend with your family. Father's Day is on a public holiday (Ascension Day) so they don't have to work either though.

If that protein isn’t made, you have an XY female. Not only that but it has been documented many times that a trans man’s brain and a cis man’s brain are pretty much identical. Having larger and smaller areas that correspond to that of a cis man for both of them. Exactly the same for trans and cis women. It’s been shown biologically a trans man has a male brain and a trans woman has a female brain. This is caused iirc during foetal development and testosterone (trans woman) enters the brain or oestrogen (trans man) enters the brain, causing the development of male regions in a female body in the case of a trans man or development of female regions in a male body for trans women.
As someone who has step parents and both my birth mother and father in my life, I've learned that anyone can be a great parental figure in your life. It just boils down to love and support in your life.

The only argument I’ve heard anywhere close to “abolish Father/Mother’s Day” is to make it less of a big deal in schools, or find some way to make it more inclusive for kids who don’t have one of those. So saying Father’s Day can be used to celebrate other men in your life who fill that role, or even a Mom, a Grandparent, or someone else. But it’s not about massive changes in getting rid of the whole day, it’s about little shifts so children don’t feel left out.
