I have a few items from Kaiweets and they're great for what you pay for them. I bought a Weller digital station a couple of weeks ago when they were on sale.

Bill, I think Brillo is the way. I like it way better than the sponge deal.

I use a wet sponge for the tip. At work, we used sponges. All my career? Sponges. That's what the techs used and they know best. Keep small squeeze bottles on the bench for water, isopropyl alcohol, and flux. This is the way. Yes, get a real sponge.

Great video, Sir! I see one problem with the brass brillo in the stand; it'll probably draw more heat than you want . . . I don't know. Great video any way you do it. Thanks for sharing. 73 de Bill

It seems to be a bit of a holy war Bill! I've had folks tell me "wet sponge" and on the other side, "Brillo pad". It's less messing around than getting the sponge wet, etc. It also keeps the iron a lot cleaner than just the wet sponge, IMHO.

I like it Jeem but I bought a solder station a few months ago... Maybe if i wait long enough, Kaiweets will send me one too!😊 I have about 5 or 6 Kaiweets products now.👍🤠
