As a Lean practitioner who is ALSO trying to study Japanese at the moment, this is a fascinating video!

So, that brings me to the table. I've seen some other videos of yours, I am in a unique place. The manufacturing plant I am in, has been small focused and very effective in cost management. Now they justify smaller upgrades. I personally, have a hands off boss that has tasked me with finding a task or area to practice some new skills/tools from a ssgi yellow belt course. So unconventional, but very smart people. I think the task is suitable, but hugely unorthodox. I really love Japanese culture and it has helped me to calm down some things in my life over time. Now, I am a type of person that decided one day I can work on things. Researched before start, create a Todo list and verify I have parts, etc. I've done this to vehicles and electronics. I self teach a lot, I have an expansive comprehension of mechanical things, some electrical, and tolerances. It's a ADHD compulsion and I do enjoy. I say this book, what is the best route for assessment of problems and tools? I plan to take this into other areas of my life and moving forward. I see potential issue, I observe as unbiased as possible and with as little influence as possible. Then I begin to think about it. I may write it down. So I'm absolutely a white belt with yellow literature. I am also well exercised in grabbing information from more than five sources and critically solving a problem I have. I am hoping to gather in totality, I guess in the scenic writing style, how do I discern what lean tools are needed and when? I have more questions about the future of this lifestyle, but baby steps. I am hoping that this may be up your alley of making an instructional piece of the whole picture to share. Yes I do have access to a black belt, I one, fear for his time, and two I may not be gifted enough to communicate well. I know he is extremely busy and he is fresh to the company and taking on a great deal of input/ouput expectation as a person. A disclaimer: I expect a clear understanding as a little nugget, not wholesome advice and expect it for recreational use as well as to keep an open mind regarding this. I have found that I learn really well in situations like this because it keeps me busy mentally, and I get to some mastery over what I do dwell with, and I have been in quality assurance for a couple of years which I showed by example to get into by being hired within the company. I geek out over hard questions and never have been done before scenarios; gift/curse. I hope you have had a great weekend!

Thank you for the incredible comment and background! Sincerely appreciated. I think this is a great idea for a video because I feel others struggle with this as well. Do you mind if I respond with the answer in a video?

@@learnkaizen by all means, permission granted to engage. I gather my information in different methods. I actually would encourage it, since I know you put good thoughts into the content and dialogue in your videos. I am a big fan of a well thoughtout and centered delivery than a rushed one. If you can scoop more minds into lss lifestyle or alike, that's great. I'm set on my winding path and soaking what I can as fast as I can. Like a 4 year old if I can.
