Official music video for Kaizers Orchestras "Begravelsespolka" (Funeral polka) from the album "Violeta Violeta Volume 3" (2012) Director: Eivind Tolås, Flimmer Film.
With a hiatus, or two, I have been listening to this band for 10+ years. They, now, feel as fresh as they did a decade ago. Thanks to the declining standards of contemporary music, Kaizers will remain fresh for decades to come.
I listen to this on a daily basis. Need to, must, incomplete without it. Eager to learn Norwegian to understand it all. Kaisers Orchestra has been a favorite for many years to me - looking forward to see them live in Amsterdam march 2024 🤘
La cantidad de emociones que me provoca esta canción cada vez que la escucho es de una envergadura que cuesta describir con palabras. No entiendo los lyrics, pero entiendo la música de todas formas. Marca un antes y un después descubriros
This is exceptional. It's a pity I've just discovered this. I wish I'd get the lyrics, I'm sure they're just as mad as the song and the cinematography :)The voice entrance from afar, that's sooo tasty.
From Google translate and its very accurate translation: All rice Yes, it's me. Thank you, thank you Yes, it's me It is no longer a question of believing It is probably rather time to realize a few things For example, say you were 14 years old when you were born Who do you think you were there I say no more It is at the beginning and end of your life That I shine with my presence yes Sir So why do you think I'm here To be entertained No To be understood Yes You have to take my word for it It is not your father's brother you should be afraid of On the contrary, you are mother Oooh Because it's not your dream you're living Your nightmare it's not yours it's your mother's It is on me that you should draw attention When I brush you out with my brush This polka This is who you became people from The woman you were born from gave you the joy and the pain in your life This polka You can never get enough of this From this song you have come To this song you will stay No enough about me Let's talk a little about you What do you think of me? It is not certain that you have thought of me As often as I have thought of you Have you thought about it Just think how many times I've imagined it Visualized and directed your last class No, I can't do anything about it It's my nature I put my soul into it This polka This is who you became people from You were born from gave you the joy and pain in your life This polka You can never get enough of this From this song you have come To this song you will stay Both you and I have seen where your path goes What does your mother have to do with this? Say til na this is my show I decide the time and place and the smell and play of colours On all of whom I have sworn that there could be people Tell your mother not to touch my funeral polka This polka This is who you became people from The woman you were born from gave you the joy and the pain in your life This polka You can never get enough of this From this song you have come To this song you will stay From this song you have come To this song you will stay From this song you have come To this song you will stay
@@ketle369 Ahh no it's not that accurate! These guys are from a region that I am from and the dialect here can be a bit wonky. When he sings "Ta for eksempel for 14 år si, når du blei født." når in most instances means what's to come or can be, but når in my dialect is used when talking about what used to be or what happened in the past so the correct translation to that line should be "For example 14 years ago, when you were born, who do you think were there? I will say no more" there are probably some translated lyrics out there translated by hand >.
@@ketle369 "Visualized and directed your last class" should be "Visualized and directed your last hour." Time means both hour and class but in this context it means hour (when speaking of death and funeral)
@@StefanScripca There are a bunch of inaccuracies in those lyrics, so I spent some time doing my own translations with the assistance of google translate to save time. It is still not a good translation as this song is sung with the Jær dialect and due to the differences in sentence building between Norwegian and English, it ends up a bit wonky. You would have to rewrite the entire song to have it make sense in English. Pretty much, I interpret this song as the devil warning Violeta of his existence, and to tell her mother, Beatrice, to stop threading her own path, to stop deciding her own destiny and start complying, to stop messing with his funeral polka as it is his show. If you do not obey the devil, your last hour may be preponed. Yes, the trilogy of the Violeta albums are stories told in song, much like a musical. Anyways, here are the improved lyrics. All rise! Yes it is me! Thank you, thank you! Yes, it's me~~. It is no longer a matter of believing It is probably the time to realize a few things. For example 14 years ago when you were born Who do you think were present, I won't say no more. It is at the beginning and end of your life When I shine with my presence, yes sir! So why do you think I'm here To be entertained? No To be understood? Yes You have to take my word for it It is not your father's brother you should be afraid of Rather, it is your mother Oooh~~ Because it is not your dream you're living Your nightmare is not yours, it's your mother's It is me you should pay attention to As I brush you out with my brush This polka This is how you became a person The woman you were born from, gave you the joy and pain in your life This polka You never get enough of this From this song, you have come Into this song you shall become No enough about me, let's talk a little about you What do you think of me? It is not certain you have thought of me As often as I have thought of you Have you thought about it?
