PhiDX did a great video about why sometimes you should press while negative called "In Tekken, -9 is not giving up your turn" (I can't post links in youtube comments). In this situation Kaizur was +5 and Shadow did a crouch jab so that he would have interrupted any move slower than 15 frames and evaded highs, it's not a bad guess if your opponent has such low life.

But if you look at it, it's the top players who always win. Others it seems can't get it done with abusable mechanics that you are pertaining

@ojsojs6004 I'm not saying they don't play fundamental tekken, the top players can do both and beat "other players". I was talking about these sets

These are bad takes lol Azucena has very high damage combos and they’re usually fairly simple. She also has a nice mixup game although not quite as good as Eddy. She does alternatively have an auto parry stance for highs and lows

I do agree that they feel lower on average than most of the cast, I feel like bnb combos do low to mid 60s, while a lot of the rest of the cast push high 60s to mid 70s. But she has great pressure and a plethora of mix-ups to compensate.

@@LofiWandererMusic Her DF2 does 61 damage, DB1+2 does 72 damage and FF3 does 69 damage. Lib 1+2 does 72 damage and all of those are without counter hit. UF4 goes into another 71 damage combo and these are all a very easy combo

Both aren't broken although Eddy is strong for sure. Now Azucena is balanced

Nah, there are still Dragunovs, Lings. Jins and Kazuya to deal with. Eddy is strong, he isn't at those characters tier though. A tier at best
