From acclaimed writer/director Miranda July comes a profoundly moving and wildly original comedy. Loved it. Wasn’t sure if it was going anywhere at first but I was so invested in Old Dolio, and Gina’s character, I wanted to see where it went, and wasn’t disappointed.

I'm surprised how much I liked this movie. Old Dolio was hypnotizing. Gina Rodriguez is in another good movie called "Awake" too.

Honestly I could actually relate to the main character. My parents never addressed my needs and always put theirs before mine. especially when I was in foster care. I remember having a very distorted view of the world just like this character. I was always the weird kid who sat alone at lunch. Picked at my face till it bled everyday from the stress I was under due to my terrible home life. I think the movie is just trying to sharpen people's sense of empathy

@@marcosalazar4682 Of course I could sense what you mean. I just mean in general the execution of the movie attempted to convey messages that were beyond the plot, and the foreshadowing in general was paced to a point where it could be perceived as unnecessary information for the viewer

This movie is not for everyone. The awkwardness of it definitely gets a lot of people but if you see it as a piece of art and not solely as entertainment, you will appreciate it
