SPOILER ALERT! Don't watch if you haven't seen the film 'Gupt: The Hidden Truth' --------------------------- But please enjoy this mind-blowing performance of Manisha Koirala and Kajol!
I can't get over Kajol in this movie! Her role and acting is just perfect! Nobody was brave enough to do that in the 90s. Even Manisha was offered Kajol's role but she wanted the other girl's role because she was scared her career might end. But Kajol's career boosted from this movie and she proved to be one of the best of bollywood
Kajol is a versatile actress in herself....watch her various roles taken....acted blind , villain, name it....she has an inborn talent to match none...her competition is with herself....evolves daily to be the masterpiece she is....💃💃💃💃search for beauty and brains ends with our Kajol 💞💞💞💞💞
I like Manish Koirala in this movie in this movie she came across as someone very understanding n even if u don't love her but u will like her in other movies of hers she is playing typical Bollywood heroine very beautiful n song n dance but in this movie her role shital Chaudhary gives goodmessage that one must be helpful n not lose hope if the person doesn't love u back u can just be there for support
Dil Se had no story and was just about a man chasing a girl which is such a disgusting thing I real life. It would be considered unacceptable today and should be left in the 90s.
That was the unmatched star power of manisha koirala that even preity zinda in dil se kajol in gupt and madhuri in lajja had to play second fiddle to her
Manisha was supposed to play Kajol's part but didn't want to play the villain. A lot of actresses rejected Kajol's role because they were scared of their reputation. Only Kajol was brave enough to play such a different and versatile role at that time
Lol what are you saying everyone knows Kajol took entire credit of gupt. Audience and critics loved her performance she overshadowed everyone. This was one of her best performances that time.
As much as I love the Yandere trope and the fact that Bollywood has it, I can't help noticing a double standard...at least in the movies I've seen. In movies depicting obsessive female lovers like Kajol in "Gupt" or Karishma Kapoor in "Mere Jeevan Saathi", they're portrayed as sad, misunderstood, and innocent lovers that simply took a wrong turn on the winding path of love...Meanwhile, Shahrukh Khan took on at least two of this kind of role in Anjaam and Darr, both times he, a male yandere, was portrayed as this psycho that needs to be taken down no matter what. I just find it strange that when the girls take love too far and end up dying it's shown as a sad thing while when a guy does it and ends up dying, it's shown as a huge relief and even a victory. But as hypocritical as it may be, again, I love that there's such a thing as Bollywood Yanderes...
Nah Shah Rukh's characters were pure evil, Kajol's character had a mental illness problem the guy was already hers , shah rukh didn't have neither so his deaths was a huge relief
The entire background score comprises of copied tunes: Tubular bells ,Intro by Dr.Alban ,Main title by Mark Mancina, GreenFlow by subcouds, Black Rain by Amanite FX, Wicked Billie during the brothel raid scene,Flute music of hindi song Yashomati Maiyya Se Bole,Music from English movie Speed (1994) ,Guitar tune of Girl like you before by Edwyn Collins was rendered by the saxophone, scream of Kajol and yell of Manisha both lifted from "No Problem" by AR RAHMAN. Viju got a Filmfare award for best background score for this 😃
Your issue is belittling the awesome music which was a novelty back then & continues 25 years afterwards still as one of the most powerful & brilliant soundtracks from a movie produced! All this copy copy nonsense needs to stop. Are you expecting western sounds to be created & conceptualised using classical Indian instruments? So for god sake stop uttering copy copy everywhere you see Viju Shah’s music !!!
@@varun925 he never used classical Indian instruments..infact he always wanted to do something via electronics what other did by acoustics..Yes,his friend Rajiv Rai is the main culprit but a copy is always a copy friend..By the way,I appreciate the way he recreated those tunes with sounds as it is using the updated electronic equipment. Hope I cleared the Air..
@@vinodnair2290 Yeah so what’s the issue in using that ? Will anyone outside Germany even know this track or DJ Hell ? Point is if the music fits in the movie , what’s the hue & cry ? Again the same point - We ostracise those Indians who like western music & the electronica like. I am myself into trance & electronica & all I used to hear was “ bandaa angrez banta hai”. All good if I hear Jagjit Singh or Pandit Jasraj or Jatin Lalit’s music!! We need to stop judging.
@@iman1527 more mystery plot but characters similar ( just gender change) Bobby deol - juhi chawla Manisha koirala - Sunny deol Kajol - Shah Rukh Khan Also darr is not dark if you want see dark.... watch Anjaam
No chance 88 to 97 no 1 madhuri no 2 juhi no 3 karishma and 96 to 2000 karishma no 1 kajol no 2 juhi no 3 madhuri 95 ka bad flop tag mil gaya lakin juhi hit ka bad hit daraha tha. Juhi ka film rejact ka karan karishma limelight ma aaya. Dtph and raja hindustani film juhi ko offer hua tha. Jeet and raja babu also
@@arpitapanigrahy3551 u r opponent view of ur self ..look what are you saying above madhuri was number one till 97 😁 then you are saying kariksma was number one from 96 😅😅 . I think ur math is poor . Any way kajol was at number one spot in 1998 with 3 consecutive Blockbusters /Superhit PYAR TOH HONA HI THA , PYAR KIYA TOH DARNA KYA, KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI ❤️❤️
@@arpitapanigrahy3551 Madhuri haven't given a single hit after Hum ape ke hai kaun. Except DTPH which was a Yash Raj directorial. 1995 to 2001 is Kajol's reigning time. No one was near to her popularity. What a fan following! Around that time she was more popular than her heroes in the movies. Her hit ratio is a record. No one can break it.
