Some may disagree but ask a local Hawaiian martial arts historian and he'll tell you it all started here in the islands. View more at pacificnetwork.tv
I am so glad I saw this..wish I could find more videos with my dad (Norman) in it..would be even better if my dad and brother (Kione) could be seen in a video.
Wow! You're all the way in Kuwait? That's terrific. I hope the Hawaii clan reads your comment and someday might be able to connect with you and your colleagues.
Have you ever met us Hawaiians? We respect and aloha everybody, even to a fault sometimes in my opinion. Their particular ohana or family just happens to pray together. I haven't studied Kajukenbo in a long time... but I'm sure that if you wanted to partake in their sessions, they'd be more than accommodating if you wanted to forgo their short opening prayer. I guess it's sort of like a short prayer at the beginning of a funeral or promotion/retirement ceremony. Nobody minds if you don't silently pray along. They're just happy that you're there and BOOM you are a part of their family anyway. They'd probably even feed you home-made food before you leave! It makes me happy that you thought that it was interesting. Aloha, Christian Shreve.
