Even if Itachi is basically a pacifist, that doesn't mean that he can't mobilize and adapt in an unnatural situation, especially if the confrontation is a serious one, he prefers most of the time to finish the fights as quickly as possible, that's why Itachi should never be underestimated. Itachi lived his whole life so that Sasuke could defeat him and become an Uchiha hero as well as a hero of the leaf. That, obviously, didn’t go as planned. However, it did allow Sasuke to grow and begin to start asking the right questions that would eventually lead him to becoming the man he (Itachi) wanted him to be. (Itachi was killed so that Sasuke could grow more powerful both as a character (to us in a real world moral sense) and as a Ninja. Itachi from the get go was extremely talented which more precisly means that Itachi just like Minato was pretty much an unique, authentic and especially unpredictable Shinobi which could exceed or overcome almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto himself) In my opinion No One in the series should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). That is why it is arguable/debatable that he probably could or could not defeat foes like Minato, Obito or Pain/Nagato. Itachi was also a prodigy from birth and he knew all sorts of tricks and he's definitely a troublesome fellow to encounter. In my opinion, they are both very versatile, unique, interesting and especially very unpredictable in their way of fighting style approach. If you make an effort to look or to rewatch at all of Itachi's fights, you might discover that he's pretty much always able to outsmart anyone during a fight or a encounter, because of his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach. His way of thinking and his calmness, intelligence and battle IQ experience factor it's very authentic and underrated, his true potential remain still unknown, because he wasn't go all out against anyone during the series.🤷🏻‍♂️☯️ I don't understand how some of you guys even dare or can to underestimate Itachi like that, many of you guys forget that Itachi isn't just any ordinary shinobi either, he is still considered by a very wide range of Naruto connoisseurs to be a very unique and unpredictable character at the same time and no one should underestimate him as some of you guys currently do. ;/ ☯️🤷🏻‍♂️What you have to remember, is that even in his battle with Sasuke, he has been fighting to lose. Itachi has always attempted to avoid conflict at all costs. He has to maintain his cover as an Akatsuki member, so he has to make viable excuses to avoid battle. When he says that fighting Jiraiya would have serious consequences, we know that he has an innate desire not to fight anyone at all, let alone a hero of the leaf, and he was a spy protecting Konoha from shadows. He could have killed Kakashi with ease. Kakashi even states that Itachi could have killed him, and wondered why he didn't. Knowing this, it is easy to see the pieces that point to a picture of Itachi that is devastatingly powerful in combat. In his confrontation with Asuma and Kurenai when he enters Konoha, we see him send Kurenai flying a large distance with a simple kick. We also see him deflect chidori, and snap Sasuke's arm like a twig with a single hand. He also sends Sasuke flying clear down the hallway with another kick in this fight. He is obviously a powerful, versatile, unpredictable and underrated taijutsu user. We know that he can kill with a glance using Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu, and become nearly invincible with his Susanoo. We see him use exploding clones, (it's his one of his unpredictability in his fighting way approach) powerful genjutsu not linked to his sharingan, ( with a single point of a one of his fingers) and making hand seals at insane speeds. He kicks the shit out of Kakashi and he barely moves. Tobi also tells us himself that Itachi could have killed him if it weren't for carefully guarded secrets. Orochimaru beats Tsunade and Jiraiya without the use of his arms. Granted, Jiraiya was drugged, but it's still the point. Orochimaru couldn't use seals at all. Itachi obliterated Orochimaru effortlessly. Itachi has been a step above from the beginning. In order for him to keep his cover in Akatsuki, he had to avoid conflict without arousing suspicion, and the best way to do that was to present himself as being much less powerful than he actually is. The one thing we have been able to see in detail, is his intelligence and unpredictability in his fighting way approach. Itachi has been shown to be able to plan events years in advance, to account for possible flaws in his plans with powerful contingencies, and to use every possibility to his advantage. Shikamaru plans a few hours in advance, and we label him a tactical genius. If that is the case, what does one even call Itachi? The only real flaws that Itachi possesses is a smaller chakra reserves, and his own morality which keeps him from gaining Eternal Mangekyo. But even the chakra is arguable. The techniques we see him use are enormously powerful, and would therefor have a huge chakra cost. I'm not going to say he is the most powerful character in the anime, but I am going to say he is definitely very very high on that list, and probably higher than most people seem to give him credit for. Lastly but not least, Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. 🤷🏻‍♂️☯️✌️

I agree in almost everything you've said, but I don't think tsukuyomi can be broken out of. Think of how genjutsu works, you have to recognize that you are in a genjutsu and then break out of it. Tsukuyomi, on the other hand, allows Itachi to control everything, mass, space and time, so while the person trapped in tsukuyomi is physically trying to free himself, the genjutsu has already been finished. Itachi managed to inflict 3 whole days of torture in just a glance (I think the exact amount of time were 3 seconds, but if we take into account the novels, that could have been more if he wanted). Sasuke got out of it because Itachi didn't want to win that fight, and because instead of physically hurting Sasuke like he did on Kakashi, he just kept talking and just got a Sasuke's eyeball. And besides, a genjutsu this strong, used by a genjutsu specialist can't be defended just like that, I mean, maybe a basic mangekyo genjutsu, but mot tsukuyomi, that would be quite like saying that Madara's strongest fire jutsu would be stronger than amaterasu. If you said that an original rinnegan like 6 paths Sasuke or Madara's well, that'd be logical, but I'd say that it coul have trapped Pain, because Nagato didn't show any genjutsu capabilities unlike the two others, his eyes weren't originally his, and the Pains are just puppets, maybe Nagato could have resisted it, maybe not, guess we'll never get to know... Damn this commentary got quite off its purpose 😂

@@acualancer4619 I argued that Kakashi could break out because Sasuke did. I stand with this argument. We have no proof that Sasuke didn't break it. Itachi was holding back, but that doesn't mean much because we don't know the upper limit and can't say it would 100% be strong enough to blow back Kakashi. There's a statement from Itachi that says only people with "his blood" can break out of Tsukuyomi. Arguable whether it's Uchiha or literally his direct family. I would argue he meant Uchiha, because the assertion that he would beat any Madara from EMS to 3 eye Juubidara with that is hilariously outlandish. The reason that matters is because only people with Uchiha blood have sharingan that can be used to full capacity. I feel the reason he said this to part 1 Kakashi is that Kakashi couldn't really use his sharingan back then, and because of that he couldn't stop Tsukuyomi. His sharingan was not only much less developed overall. He was less skilled, unable to use it efficiently, and without Mongekyou. All of these things have changed, and I feel it would be unreasonable for a single Jutsu in the entire series to be locked based on genes. This is just the interpretation I find to make the most sense based on how genjutsu works in Naruto.

@acualancer4619 Itachi holding back isn't necessarily antithetical to Sasuke breaking out of Tsukuyomi. I could fight my younger brother while holding back. And just one time, I could throw one punch as hard and fast as I could, and if my brother manages to avoid, block, or tank it, then it would mean my brother is capable of handling my best punch. But it wouldn't mean that he could beat me if I actually went all out. Basically, what I'm getting at is that Itachi possibly could have been testing Sasuke to see if he actually could do it, and after Sasuke successfully broke out of it, Itachi went along with his plan. But this is just my headcanon.

Anbu Kakashi is way stronger than Itachi, because he scales relative to Mukai Kohinata, a half-hyuga anbu captain & rogue ninja, who mid diffed Shisui & Itachi (Shisui had to Koto him to force suicide). Once Itachi unlocks MS is when he achieves relativity to Anbu Kakashi. Part 1 Kakashi is rusty, and therefore weaker than his Anbu version, and Itachi got stronger in the years that passed since he left the Leaf Village. Even so, Kakashi forced Itachi to use Tsukuyomi to win, so the fight was high dif for Itachi. During the 3 year time skip, Kakashi trained to become as strong or slightly stronger than his Anbu version and beat a 30% clone of Itachi who also got stronger. A 30% clone of Kisame was bullying Guy (who trained alongside Kakashi for the 3 year time skip), which is greater feats than what he could do in Part 1. If Kisame got a lot stronger, it’s not crazy to think Itachi did too. Also, there’s little noticeable difference between the 30% clones and the originals: 30% Kisame was bullying 6th Gate Guy, but full power Kisame lost to 7th Gate Guy.

Hokage kakashi is a lot faster and stronger in terms of feats then war arc, boruto characters being boruto characters. Think war arc kakashi would give edo itachi a run for his money though kakashi may lose to hax or suusano. kakashi being able to keep up with kcm minato, tobirama and kcm2 naruto he was also able to snipe a hole in madara's truth seek shield before a charging 8th gate guy could get to it. He also doesn't seem to have chakra problems anymore for some reason. Dms kakashi speed blitzed kaguya and was outperforming naruto and sasuke that were stronger then when they were swapping hands with juubidara individually Dms stomps it's not at all close.

Kakashi doesn't need to use Shadow clones to provoke Itachi into using Amatarasu. He just needs Itachi to believe that the clone is actually him. But as far as we know, they were indeed Shadow Clones as he shouted out "Kage Bushin no Jutsu"

​@donovan4222 Well, that's besides the point, man. War Arc Kakashi pretty much mastered his Mangekyou Sharingan and his able to handily use Kamui at a whim. He may even be able to actually resist Tsukuyomi. Even if he couldn't, he could just avoid eye contact, any other genjutsu that Itachi has wouldn't be potent enough to hold this version of Kakashi, so Tsukuyomi would probably be his only win condition.

The same jonin minato that in a little bit later. Had fought aye and bee. Kid kakashi was able to keep up with that Minato. Also, Minato said " id already consider you jonin class." Itachi violates war arc Kakashi unfortunately

He has no speed feats putting him above itachi, his win cons from part 1 are still his win cons, he still can’t look at itachi, he doesn’t have a lightning cloak or instant movement to dodge amaterasu, itachis biq is higher, he defense is better. He doesn’t need much stamina bc he only needs to land one attack

@@slimxjimki they didn’t get there at the same time kakashi had been running at obito and when minato saw he was going to kill him he teleported over there and stopped him. So that is in no way a speed feat. Secondly there is no way to fight itachi and itachi wins high diff. Either you have no counter to his jutsu and if any of them hit u get one tapped. Or if your so strong that itachis abilites don’t work on you for some reason then odds are your physical stats are far superior to his and itachi would get low diffed. Any fight that itachi wins he wins fairly quickly and if he loses then he loses fairly quickly

@@jason15212 fugaku was going to be a difficult fight for Itachi who by the end of that night was at or above the sannin tier most likely above so for me the earliest point that kakashi can possibly surpass fugaku is pain arc but I think there are arguments to be made that he only surpasses him by the pain arc does that clear things up

@@Nathan24634 I think it’s unclear tbh. Fugaku being a “tuff fight” for Itachi had a lot to with the fact that it’s his father and that he was strong. There degrees of difficult fights. I don’t think Fugaku was any s stronger than what Itachi was prior getting MS and we know for a fact Fugaku wasn’t stronger than Shisui. Who all things considered probably wasn’t much stronger than Kakashi(Anbu) in fact this is kakashi before his nerf (stronger version than part 1)which is closer to his shippuden counterpart so Shisui probably wasn’t stronger than Kakashi either. I think Itachi’s mangekyo gave him a massive leap in power. It’s hard to say how strong Fugaku is by using Itachi.

@@NateKh-i6t Tsukuyomi. It's kinda bland and uninteresting, but that's kinda it. I understand that when it comes to content, stopping at that is incredibly boring and makes for uninteresting discussion. There is no evidence that Kakashi could resist or really even react to it. While there is both direct and implied evidence that he could not. Tsukuyomi would end Kakashi in a fraction of the time it would take him to get off Kamui.

@@JegErDem u mean fasteer than 8 th gate speed?i think not.also kakashi resisted obito level genjutsu.the same obito who with a base sharingan controlled full kurama.something that noone else could do with a base sharingan.an ms was needed to controll kurama but kakashi resisted obito genjutsu and broke out of it.tsukuyomi is something kakashi might be able to break out of but kakashi can absolutely avoid it using clone feints cuz it is directly stated in part 1 that if u look into itachi eyes tsukuyomi will end you kakashi developed a counter for that.

@@NateKh-i6t Yes, faster than 8th Gate Guy. You find out after part 1 that that's not how MS genjutsu works. All an MS user has to do is see your eyes. Tsukuyomi is the 3rd strongest genjutsu ever. It is not in the same vein as even master level genjutsu. If you think that clones are faking out, Itachi, you're goofy. For every lightning clone, there is an exploding one to match it. 60ft apart Kamui vs. Tsukuyomi, Kakashi is back in the hospital. If it's bloodlusted? He's dead instead. You can make some convoluted scenario where Kakashi wins, but 9/10 (being generous to Kakashi), Itachi wins a starting on battlefield fight, and even the fights where they both fight from the shadows.

Putting Shoji a added 50 times more increase then the already 50 times amp that he had when fighting as Mountain size Shoji. So, 100 times amp shoji would wipe the floor with any form of madara. While CM2 Jirobo would defeat the Madara that fought the five kage. But, might lose to the regular alive Madara that fought Hashirama. CM2 Jirobo was able to effortlessly lift with one hand Shoji mountain sized 30 feet away. So, he could effortlessly beat 50 times amp shoji. But, the second Shoji went 100 times amp. Jirobo CM2 got one shot. Putting 100 times amp Shoji way above CM2 Jirobo that was able to effortlessly beat mountain size Shoji.
